  • My best vacation yet

"I rented the cabin for three nights in January as a winter getaway from work in Phoenix -- nice to get some real winter weather. I'd never been up to the Heber-Overgaard area. This time of year, we practically had the resort to ourselves. The interior is cozy and comfortable, the back is nice and private, and the hot tub was perfect. Relaxing, quiet, and close to some beautiful hiking trails. Excellent for a romantic getaway or small party, and quite affordable."

  • Already planning our return...

"My family and I stayed at Anita's Creekside Haven for 3 nights this past week and had a wonderful time. The house is clean, cozy and has a lot of space to spread out in. The kitchen is large and has everything you need to make a complete meal, which we did several times. Forget the inside for a moment because it is the outside, specifically the rear deck that sets this house apart. It is HUGE and runs the entire length of the house. The creek runs by just below the deck, maybe 15' to 20' away. We spent most of our time here listening to the creek and watching the birds and squirrels. The fire pit was very nice during the chilly autumn nights. Speaking of autumn, the trees all around the property and neighborhood were a palette of colors that no artist could recreate. This is the place to come for fall foliage. The house is a perfect base for outdoor exploration. We fished at the nearby lakes of Woods Canyon and Willow Springs. We went on several hikes including the See Spring Trail which goes to the headwaters of Christopher Creek. Anita's Creekside Haven was a great place to come "home" to after these adventures and we will definitely be back. Thanks Anita!"

  • Perfect Cabin

"Picture's don't do it justice! Firstly, the owners Rhonda and Charlie are extremely easy to work with, very friendly and accommodating and have an amazing cabin. We left Scottsdale after work on Friday and were at the cabin in about 2 hours flat - a great, quick getaway. We arrived, walked into the cabin and never looked back. The cabin is exactly that - a great cabin. It has great decor, from pictures from the old west days to recent family pictures. Two nice bedrooms with comfortable beds, a huge loft upstairs with multiple beds and a great, open floorplan. They have everything broken down for you in an easy welcome book, and we turned on the thermostat, started a fire and were great. We relaxed, fired up their very nice propane BBQ on the patio and had a great dinner the first night. All appliances and counters tops are new looking and in great condition - nicer than my home! Living room has a huge, comfortable sectional couch and we sat there and played games the entire night both nights. The next day was a relaxing day - we enjoyed a fire all morning and in the early afternoon took a walk through the 15 miles of national forest behind their cabin! They're at the end of the road, so no one behind them, only a couple cabins across the road and one cabin to the left... everything else is wilderness! All in all, a great cabin. We spent our entire time there talking about the next time we're coming back - and there will be more times! Don't pass this up, you'll regret it!"

  • Cottage with an Amazing View

"Thank you Scott and Melody for a wonderful visit to Prescott! The house was perfect for us––charming, quaint, rustic, comfortable, warm and homey. The views from the living room and front porch are breathtaking. You can't tell from the photos, but you can see all of Prescott, the Bradshaw Mountains and Thumb Butte from the house. I could sit on that porch all day long. It was especially lovely at night with the city lights. The house is very private and situated on a larger piece of property that belongs to the owners and lovingly decorated with comfortable furniture and original art. Scott and Melody were friendly and very welcoming. They even brought us fresh eggs one afternoon from their chickens. The house is within walking distance from Thumb Butte and we could easily access hiking trails with our four-year-old within minutes. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat away from daily life, this cottage is sure to deliver. We'll be back again!"
