  • Wonderful stay!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Modern Chalet. It was so much more homey than a motel, and we enjoyed walking around Downtown Prescott. Three of our special highlights were the evening entertainment opportunities on the Plaza (free), a trip out to see the Phippen Museum, and walking along the creek. We had been to Prescott many times, but didn't know about the creek running through the downtown area until this trip! We also enjoyed Dinner Belle's food and staff. Pearl, the owner of the Chalet, was named well--she is truly a jewel!"

  • Created great family memories!

"This property was exactly as described. Private, yet conveniently close to town. Beautiful and functional. We took our 8yr old and 6 yr old boys for a nice weekend. They enjoyed riding their bikes in the private street, laughing down the zip line, and hiking on the nearby trails. A great place for creating family memories!"

  • great to get the family together

"Everyone had a great time from the two year old to the 78 year old grandma. The two year old mastered the stair very quickly and the six year old love the porch that went around the house. There was plenty of room for every one to have their privacy as well as hang out together. My son took his nephew hiking just around the property and they had a great time. We also hike the natural bridge which is a short drive away. I was very proud of myself when i made it to the bridge hadn't hiked in years. A little sore the next day but the beds were so comfortable that I hardly noticed. The kitchen was great, the men cooked so I didn't have to anything but supervise. We took this short vacation because my niece was getting married and it was very beautiful. The next time we would like to stay at least a week. I liked getting up in the morning and enjoying the cool air and the beautiful view from the porch. Not to mention the quietness of the morning. I think it was one of the most relaxing, exciting, and fun vacation I have had in a long time and very much needed. Next year we will have one more addition to the family and there will still be room for more in the castle. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. The property owner were very accommodating and understanding of our needs. Thanks so much, Had a great time!!! Sorry the review took so long but it was back to the rush of life that I didn't miss at all when we were there."

Best Time of Year to Visit Arizona Vacation Rentals

Arizona is a state that is known for its warm climate. Even in the winter months, you can enjoy warm sunshine almost every day. The north central part of Arizona is at an altitude of between 2,000 and 3,000 meters; because of this, seasonal temperatures are milder than in other parts of Arizona. This means that during the summertime, you can enjoy a wide variety of activities without feeling as though you will get scorched by the summer sun. You still need to have adequate sun protection of hats and sunscreen and make sure you drink plenty of water. Towards the end of summer, from July to mid-September, you can expect the occasional thunderstorm. The winter months are relatively short-lived, lasting only a month or two from November through December. Daytime temperatures can still be pleasantly warm but after the sun sets, the temperatures can plummet to below freezing. Ideally, you should dress in layers so you are not caught unprepared for the sudden temperature changes. Some snowfalls can occur in winter. Spring runs from January to April, and is one of the most pleasant seasons to visit. Fall season is also particularly beautiful as the turning leaves blend in with the red rock landscapes.
