Perhaps one of the most famous landmarks is London Bridge. This bridge once spanned the Thames in London but was decommissioned because it started sinking into the river. A local industrialist purchased the bridge from the British government, had it dismantled and shipped to Arizona. There it was rebuilt and now stands tall as a famous landmark of Lake Havasu City. The bridge was officially opened in 1971 and every year there is an annual 10-day festival that takes place to commemorate the bridge.

Yuma is an interesting area where you can see many historic sites. These include seeing an old Wild West prison cell and the Quartermaster Depot. There is also the Sanguinetti House Museum in Yuma. All of these historic landmarks provide some unique insight into life of the Wild West in Arizona during the 1800s.

Oatman is a quaint old-fashioned gold mining town that can be found along the famous Route 66. The town is characterized by old shops and saloons where you can enjoy some western style. The town has some resident wild burros that forage around town for carrots and other treats from visitors.
