"This home should be in Sunset Magazine. Absolutely beautiful and immaculate. Gail showed up when we arrived to go over everything and walk us through the home and show us all the nuances. She was a delight to deal with. Lake Havasu is absolutely beautiful and the trip up river is like a mini Grand Canyon adventure without the rapids. I will return and Gail will be the first person I call for lodging. Thank you for a most enjoyable week."

  • Amazing home away from home

"This is a great house in Lake Havasu. We stayed here in both 2012 and 2013. It has plenty of room for our family (me, my husband, 3 year old daughter and small dog). Yes, they allowed us to bring our small dog. It is clean with everything provided (dishes, towels, sheets, etc). We loved the yard, big pool with jacuzzi. Free wifi. And it is close to everything. A must rent!"

  • Beautiful Home - Can't wait to visit again!

"This beautiful home in the heart of Lake Havasu was exactly as described. The property is clean and well-maintained. We found the owners to be very helpful and always available. I would highly recommend this location for your stay and can't wait to return. Of note: if you have more than 6 people the only suitable location for your additional guests would be in the expansive master suite (the closet alone is practically another bedroom). If you do not wish to share the master suite, I would recommend limiting your guests to a total of 6. There are several rules to follow to ensure that the home is kept nice for all guests, however nothing that was unreasonable."

  • Perfect home for a family vacation!

"We had a wonderful family vacation with our kids and grandkids in this lovely home in Yuma. The property is large and fenced, we let the grandkids make as much noise as they wanted while playing in the pool and never worried about bothering the neighbors. While some enjoyed the pool, others were playing games or watching movies indoors, plenty of room for everyone. We spent two days at the river, boating and tubing. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and the local theater was another perfect way to cool off. The owners were more than helpful and the house has everything we needed, even a Packnplay for our youngest! A big thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!!"

Colorado River Area Travel Tips

Best Time of Year to Visit West Arizona Vacation Rentals

West Arizona enjoys a warm year-round climate. This makes it an ideal vacation destination. Even when most people in the United States are hiding under layers of clothing, visitors to Arizona can be enjoying water sports without having to put on a wetsuit. Lake Havasu is one of the region's great attractions along with the mighty Colorado River. The western part of Arizona is therefore a favorite destination for those who enjoy water sports. The summer months can get particularly hot and most people prefer to visit during the cooler winter months when the daytime temperatures aren't quite as scorching.

Fun in the Sun at West Arizona River Rentals

Many of the vacation homes in western Arizona are located along the lakeshore of Lake Havasu or on the banks of the Colorado River. This provides easy access to the water for a wide range of water sports. Power boating and waterskiing are favorite pastimes. During the school vacation season, you can see many families enjoying a day out on the water. Jet Skis are sometimes available to rent or you can bring your own along. Sailing is another popular activity on the lake. For people who prefer more leisurely activities, the waters offer excellent fishing opportunities. Find out from the locals about the best lakeshore fishing spots and you may be able to hook some bass, crappie or bluegill.

If you prefer to stay on land, there are many nature trails to explore along the lakeshore. There are also several wildlife sanctuaries where you can go birdwatching. The Havasu National Wildlife Refuge is home to some of North America's rarest bird species such as the Southwestern Willow Flycatcher and the Yuma Clapper Rail. No visit to Arizona is complete without seeing the countryside from the saddle. There are local outfitters that offer horseback rides in Western Arizona. For anyone who has an interest in history, there are several museums which have interesting exhibits showcasing the area's culture and history.

Interesting Landmarks near West Arizona Vacation Homes

Perhaps one of the most famous landmarks is London Bridge. This bridge once spanned the Thames in London but was decommissioned because it started sinking into the river. A local industrialist purchased the bridge from the British government, had it dismantled and shipped to Arizona. There it was rebuilt and now stands tall as a famous landmark of Lake Havasu City. The bridge was officially opened in 1971 and every year there is an annual 10-day festival that takes place to commemorate the bridge.

Yuma is an interesting area where you can see many historic sites. These include seeing an old Wild West prison cell and the Quartermaster Depot. There is also the Sanguinetti House Museum in Yuma. All of these historic landmarks provide some unique insight into life of the Wild West in Arizona during the 1800s.

Oatman is a quaint old-fashioned gold mining town that can be found along the famous Route 66. The town is characterized by old shops and saloons where you can enjoy some western style. The town has some resident wild burros that forage around town for carrots and other treats from visitors.

Visitors to Arizona Vacation Rentals

Many visitors to the western part of Arizona enjoy the outdoors and exploring historic sites. You can combine a horseback excursion with wildlife viewing or spend a day out on the lakes and rivers. It is an ideal family vacation destination and great place to spend summer school holidays with the kids.
