  • FABULOUS!!

"Perfect place, it is even better than the description. This is our second stay, husband and I stayed this time for month of October 2014 and could not have been happier. So comfortable, clean as a whistle, kitchen big, fully equipped right down to a slow cooker, everything you need. The pool is great, sparkling water, swam everyday. Jim and Roni are terrific, always there and available, their service could not have been better. Everything you need for the perfect stay is here, neighborhood is nice, quiet, peaceful, felt safe. It is truly you home away from home. Planning next years visit already."

  • Great Location

"My family 6 adults and 4 children just returned from a 10 day stay at this house. The house is awesome, plenty of space for all to enjoy. The pool and hot tub are great. The kids got a lot of use out of the ping pong table and pool table, wifi was good, grill was awesome. Jeff the owner was great to work with and very responsive to our requests. When we arrived there were only 5 wicker chairs for outdoor sitting. For a house that holds 15(really has sleeping for 14, the futon in the basement is a little worn) this just was not enough, I mentioned it to Jeff and within a day Walt the pool guy delivered addition chairs. The location is perfect, right on the marina with quick access to the river, we caught several bass each day right off the dock. Jeff's recommendations for renting jet skis was spot on Laughlin Watercrafts was very helpful. Would definitely return for another visit."

  • Has it all!

"Hats off to the owners!! This house was perfect! We toured the home before settleing in and found that the owners thought of everything you could need for your home away from home. Summer or winter time you will love this house. The 2 master suites on either side of the house were perfect. Huge comfy sitting area, kitchen had all the essentials and the sheets on the beds were amazingly soft. Quiet neighborhood and easy access right up the street if you want to off road. Plenty of driveway parking and huge garage. We all enjoyed the jacuzzi while sitting out in the snow. Yes, it snowed! Cuzzi heated up pretty quick. Honestly, this rental home has been taken care of. The owners did not skimp on the quality of anything in this home. We will definetly stay here again. You will not be disappointed! Thank you for letting us enjoy your home."

Colorado River Area Travel Tips

Best Time of Year to Visit West Arizona Vacation Rentals

West Arizona enjoys a warm year-round climate. This makes it an ideal vacation destination. Even when most people in the United States are hiding under layers of clothing, visitors to Arizona can be enjoying water sports without having to put on a wetsuit. Lake Havasu is one of the region's great attractions along with the mighty Colorado River. The western part of Arizona is therefore a favorite destination for those who enjoy water sports. The summer months can get particularly hot and most people prefer to visit during the cooler winter months when the daytime temperatures aren't quite as scorching.

Fun in the Sun at West Arizona River Rentals

Many of the vacation homes in western Arizona are located along the lakeshore of Lake Havasu or on the banks of the Colorado River. This provides easy access to the water for a wide range of water sports. Power boating and waterskiing are favorite pastimes. During the school vacation season, you can see many families enjoying a day out on the water. Jet Skis are sometimes available to rent or you can bring your own along. Sailing is another popular activity on the lake. For people who prefer more leisurely activities, the waters offer excellent fishing opportunities. Find out from the locals about the best lakeshore fishing spots and you may be able to hook some bass, crappie or bluegill.

If you prefer to stay on land, there are many nature trails to explore along the lakeshore. There are also several wildlife sanctuaries where you can go birdwatching. The Havasu National Wildlife Refuge is home to some of North America's rarest bird species such as the Southwestern Willow Flycatcher and the Yuma Clapper Rail. No visit to Arizona is complete without seeing the countryside from the saddle. There are local outfitters that offer horseback rides in Western Arizona. For anyone who has an interest in history, there are several museums which have interesting exhibits showcasing the area's culture and history.

Interesting Landmarks near West Arizona Vacation Homes

Perhaps one of the most famous landmarks is London Bridge. This bridge once spanned the Thames in London but was decommissioned because it started sinking into the river. A local industrialist purchased the bridge from the British government, had it dismantled and shipped to Arizona. There it was rebuilt and now stands tall as a famous landmark of Lake Havasu City. The bridge was officially opened in 1971 and every year there is an annual 10-day festival that takes place to commemorate the bridge.

Yuma is an interesting area where you can see many historic sites. These include seeing an old Wild West prison cell and the Quartermaster Depot. There is also the Sanguinetti House Museum in Yuma. All of these historic landmarks provide some unique insight into life of the Wild West in Arizona during the 1800s.

Oatman is a quaint old-fashioned gold mining town that can be found along the famous Route 66. The town is characterized by old shops and saloons where you can enjoy some western style. The town has some resident wild burros that forage around town for carrots and other treats from visitors.

Visitors to Arizona Vacation Rentals

Many visitors to the western part of Arizona enjoy the outdoors and exploring historic sites. You can combine a horseback excursion with wildlife viewing or spend a day out on the lakes and rivers. It is an ideal family vacation destination and great place to spend summer school holidays with the kids.
