Comfortable and compact guesthouse for two in Phoenix
"We spent a pleasant week here in late October. The guesthouse is well-equipped, quiet, clean and comfortable, although it is quite compact and is really only suitable for a maximum of 2 adults. It's situated to the side and back of the owner's home and we had full, private access from sliding glass doors from the bedroom to the nice pool area as well as the large yard and gazebo-covered sitting area with propane BBQ, We could park in the owner's car port and had easy private access to the guesthouse from there. We're not really dog people, but the owner's elderly and completely gentle Rottweiler, Macy, was a delight and made sure to drop by the pool patio once or twice a day for a tummy-rub --- I'm sure the owner will keep her away from you if you prefer. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe. The pool is not heated and, even with daytime highs in the high 70s to mid 80s at the time of our stay, it was chilly due to the cool nights, so I think only the brave would use it much later in the season. The location is very central to many of the Phoenix attractions, and a big plus was that we could safely walk 10 minutes to 4 or 5 pretty good restaurants. The internet service and TV package were quite good. I would certainly highly recommend this property for a couple for either a short or extended stay in Phoenix."

"My buddies and I visited Phoenix for some great golf. This home was perfect. It doesn't have a pool, but the large swimspa makes up for it. We loved if after a day of golfing for our sore backs. I will book this home again."

"My husband and I chose this house in Scottsdale so that we could get away to someplace warm for the weekend with our immediate families. We wanted to get married with just our immediate families present. We wanted everyone to stay together in one place, and this property suited us well. We had 15 adults and 6 kids, and for the most part, the space was perfect to accomodate everyone. The kids LOVED the pool and water slide, and the property was beautiful. The adults loved the back patio that had an amazing view and gorgeous sunsets, along with the outdoor gas fireplace that we sat in front of every night. We had a quaint ceremony out in the yard, and were able to get some amazing pictures with Camelback Mountain in the background. The only things I would change are: ther is only one bathroom in the main house upstairs, so things were a bit crowded up there. Also, the whole layout of the guest house was a little odd. There are two rooms with separate outdoor entrances, but they are not connected on the inside. One of the rooms was huge and had two full or queen beds in it, but no bathroom; the other room had a kitchenette and sitting area, and bedroom with a bathroom attached. This was a little difficult for those staying in this house since you had to go outside to get from the separate bedroom to use the bathroom/shower, etc., and the bathroom could only be accessed by going through the other bedroom. Also, there were not any lamps in the main sitting room, and no mirror in the separate bedroom. Just something to be aware of if booking both properties. Keep in mind too, that this house is not stocked with any hairdryers - thankfully I brought mine and everyone was able to use it. Overall, we had a wonderful time, and would definitely go back. Not sure we would rent the guest house next time unless it was remodeled to be more accommodating for all the guests that have to stay down there. The house is in a great location for hiking on Camelback. You can walk to the trailhead from the home, which was awesome for those of us who wanted to hike. Guy was responsive and accommodating, and super easy to work with."

"This home is great for any kind of getaway. Very well kept and supplied with everything you will need including a nice game room and relaxing backyard. We had a group of 10 ladies for a retreat. The owners Don and Stephanie were great! I would highly recommend this!"
