  • Wow, What A View

"This lovely cabin has wonderful views of the mountains and is surrounded by beautiful pine trees. Plus, the temperature is about 20-30 degrees cooler than in Tucson! The pictures of the inside of the cabin on this website are accurate - very nice and spacious accommodations. The beds are comfortable and the linens & towels are soft & plentiful. We found the kitchen very well stocked with everything that we needed to cook our meals and the owner has numerous spices (not just salt & pepper) for the renter to use. All the appliances worked properly and we had no trouble using the TVs, remotes & WIFI in the cabin. The owner of this log cabin house was a delight to deal with and promptly replied to all my questions and returned our damage deposit within two days of us leaving. There are very large decks on all the levels with outside furniture for you to sit on and relax, look at the amazing scenery, or read a good book. It also has a large gas grill to cook your steaks, fish, hamburgers, hot dogs or anything else that you choose. The neighborhood is nice and quiet and the town of Summerhaven is just a 10-15 minute walk down the hill. There are three restaurants close by and a little store to buy things you forgot to bring with you in town. Plus, we went fishing at Rose Canyon Lake, only 8 miles away, and also hiking on the numerous trails on Mt. Lemmon. Great fun with the grandkids! There are also several picnic areas on Mt. Lemmon, if that is what you enjoy. The only negative is the 50 steps down to the cabin from the parking area. We found that a little challenging carrying our luggage & supplies down the stairs when we arrived and up the stairs when we left with the 9,000 ft. altitude. We had a wonderful time and made fun memories with our family here, plus we got out of the 100 degree plus temperatures of Tucson for a while. We would definitely recommend this rental property."

  • Perfect girls get away

"Stayed at the Little Red Studio recently for a mother/daughter get-away. It's the perfect size and the perfect location for a fun and relaxing weekend. We loved having the option of a short walk to town for restaurants or enjoying meals on the patio. Already plan to stay there again!"

  • house rental with two horses

"My husband and I were attending our trail riding club's annual get together and rather than camp out we decided to rent the house with two other people. Marvelous!! On arrival Bridget greeted us and directed us to where our horses were to be stalled. She provided water buckets and even some bedding for the inside stalls. So we only had to provide feed. Plenty of water was available. We found the house in excellent condition, clean and tidy and there were plenty of towels, bed linens etc. Bridget and her cousin were very hospitable and the heaters worked well for the cool nights. The trail riding is excellent and Bridget willing shares trails and history of the ranch etc. We hope to be back next year on our own with a smaller group. Definitely to be recommended."

  • Nice Casita!

"My wife and I had a wonderful time in the Casita at Starr Pass in September. The Casita had everything we needed and more. We golfed (at a reduced rate) , thanks to the owner, hiked, relaxed on the patio at the Casita and enjoyed the beautiful views. We are looking forward to our next trip to Tucson and staying at Starr Pass in this Casita. Thanks for a great stay!"
