"LOVED this casita!! Brought my mom here in April 2014 because due to her health issues, I needed a two bedroom place. This casita was just what the dr ordered!! Mom and I each had our own rooms and bathrooms, and saved a lot of money fixing our breakfasts and a few meals in the cute kitchen. We popped popcorn in the microwave and stored the yummy Chocolate Therapy ice cream we discovered at Albertsons - in the freezer for our evening snacks! We live in a very windy area of California, so mom LOVED sitting out on the patio - so peaceful and quiet - with a GREAT view. Each day we looked for the javelinas to visit us, but only caught a glimpse of one as we drove up to the casita one night. Mom still teases me that she doesn't believe they exist and that I'm making them up! The older I get, the more I want some peacefulness in my life - and this casita is a piece of heaven for me. I loved it so much that my husband and I rented several days this Oct 2014 - another awesome stay! Love taking walks around the area, and the pool is really nice. Is a great base camp to branch out from to do daytrips and other activities. We plan on returning to see Tubac, taking some good hikes right nearby, seeing the butterfly exhibit at the zoo, eating at North restaurant at La Encantada mall (try to crispy potatoes there - yummmmm), and of course seeing the USC/U of Ariz football game every two years (hubby is a USC alumni). Am bringing mom and my sister back here in Apr 2015 so that my sister can take a glass blowing class at the Sonoran Glass School - they have a lot of artistic opportunities here - just a lot of neat things to explore in this town! Janet is a great owner - she is great at communicating - and is very willing to accomodate any special requests. I was concerned mom would slip in the shower w/o a bathmat (many hotels don't provide these) - but Janet made sure I had one for mom. Also got extra towels :) The casita has a lot of things you need - spices, olive & canola oil, salad dressings, condiments, napkins, basically everything short of the food you'd want to fix yourselves. Very convenient. What I love about it is that you don't really HAVE to go out anywhere - is so peaceful and wonderful just hanging out at the casita, that is nice to just be there. How many vacation spots can you say that about? Am dreaming I can own my own casita someday :)"

  • Christmas time in the desert

"We stayed at this townhouse in early/mid December. It was very comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed to enjoy our week here. The back patio was great in the afternoon, when it was warmed by the sun. The front patio was sheltered and sunny in the morning, nice for relaxing with a cup of coffee. There is a gas fireplace in the living room, which added ambiance and warmth in the evenings. Beds very comfortable, even for my Mother with her bad back! It felt like home very quickly. Marlene was easy to work with, had some great suggestions, and was very responsive when we had trouble with the internet. It is located in a great area, with easy access to town and the highway. Neighbors pleasant and also helpful. It was fun to see the southwest decorated for Christmas- ie santa hats on the cactus. Weather very pleasant in early December- warm days, chilly nights. Would definitely recommend this property and hope to return someday!."

  • Family celebration

"We rented this condo as an alternative to staying in a hotel for 10 days when we celebrated my father-in-law's 90th birthday. It was very convenient as he lives only a few blocks away in the same community. Everything was as advertised. The access was easy and convenient. There were plenty of towels for five of us, especially the extra pool towels that we used daily. The kitchen was well equipped and convenient. The master bed mattress and pillows could be upgraded for greater comfort. The owner said they were going to be making some improvements. We communicated primarily by email prior to our stay but Tom was was very easy to contact and the entire process was easy. We were already familiar with the area and community and it is very conveniently located. Since we were off season the rate was very reasonable."

  • Great Home for the Holidays

"My husband and myself with our two little dogs stayed at this Great Home for Thanksgiving. We only stayed a few days but had a great time and enjoyed Bill's Home. The dogs LOVED the back Patio. Bill has this home supplied with everything you could ever need. The place is very quiet & peaceful with nice Views from the back. All the people we met were just so nice. We love Tubac and hope to stay again sometime in the future at Bill's Home. Thank You Bill for letting us stay with our DOGS it's so hard to find a nice place that will take them."
