"We have spent the month of March in this family home for the past two years. The weather in Tucson is wonderful at that time- warm sunny days and cooler nights.
The property is set back from the eighth fairway at Skyline Country Club, with lovely desert plantings to provide privacy. Just a short walk down a brick path to get onto the course for morning and nightly walks, with or without your dog. Very comfortable accommodations and close to restaurants and a wide variety of shopping. Owner Matt and property manager Angela are friendly and helpful. Safe upscale gated community. House itself is as described in other reviews. Has all the essentials for easy move in and move out. Came to feel like home."

"Casa Encantada is a beautiful home in a beautiful setting with a great location. Thank you, Gary, for sharing. We spent ten days there the end of April/beginning of May this year. The house itself is a marvelous classic adobe-style house dressed up with Barragan-inspired interior colors, a phantasmagorical mosaic in the bathroom and an extensive collection of wooden, clay and etc. figures, creatures and critters scattered throughout. The setting is lovely, the surrounding desert a superb mix of native plants with Sombrero Peak looming in the distance. We were lucky enough to be there when the Palo Verde were in bloom, so both the area around the house and the flanks of the mountains in the distance to the west and south were covered with their yellow blooms -- a truly marvelous time to be there. Of course we were in the hot tub every afternoon following busy days doing this and that. The kitchen was wonderful for cooking (with every pot, pan and gadget you could wish for), which we did every night but one with provisions from Food City, our favorite market. The master bedroom was comfortable and the living room perfect for evening reading (lounging and stretch-out space, well lit). All in all, a perfectly marvelous place to recover from an active day and spend a restful evening. We recommend Casa Encantada without reservation and look forward to returning."

"We have rented this beautiful home for four winters, staying a little longer each year! The owners keep the house in immaculate condition, adding improvements each year. The layout of the house is very nice with a bed and bath on each end of the house. The kitchen is well equipped, the master bedroom has king-size bed and the second bedroom has a queen. Nice decor, and this year the owners have remodeled the master bath. The backyard is cozy and private with nice outdoor furnishings, including a grill, for mornings with coffee or dinner on the patio. My husband loves all the local golf courses, including Omni, of course, and also the nearby Y as well as miles of walking trails. I enjoyed the local shopping and good restaurants, and, of course, the sunny, warm days, escaping the Illinois winter."

"We stayed at the Sleepy Dog guest house for a month in January/February 2015. Overall, we had a good experience, and the house is funky and fun for what it best is - an authentic Bisbee retreat. The location and views are exceptional (we enjoyed the 50 steps leading up to the house), the bed was exceptionally comfy, and the heaters worked well to keep the whole house comfortable on below-freezing nights. The property manager was quick to address all questions and concerns we had during our stay. We’d recommend this place highly for a short-term stay, especially if you want to experience staying in what feels like ‘authentic Bisbee.’ For longer stays, know that the shower attachment onto the clawfoot bathtub is unwieldy, you’ll have to air-dry laundry, there is no cable/dish on the TV, and the kitchen pots/pans for baking are basic (line pans with nonstick tinfoil). Closet space is very limited."
