Recent Tucson & Southern Arizona reviews

  • Quiet, convenient and comfortable home

"Spent a wonderful time at this home with my sister. Very comfortable, partially remodeled older home in the very convenient Villages of Green Valley, which is much closer to Tucson attractions than other southern Green Valley neighborhoods, yet just a mile or so from modern grocery store. Covered patio provided plenty of shade in the morning for outdoor enjoyment. Very friendly neighborhood and enjoyed pool/hot tub. Everything as owners have described - couldn't have asked for anything more."

  • Starr Pass is the place to be!

"Having lived in Tucson in the mid 80s (before Starr Pass was developed) I thought the Catalina Foothills was the nicest area. I stand corrected. Starr Pass is where you want to be. It is a short drive to the University, the newly improved downtown area, Gates Pass and arguably the most beautiful area on earth, Saguaro National Monument. The Owl Casista is spacious, well appointed, nicely decorated and the beds and linens were top notch! While I did not golf, the course looked remarkable! It is a huge plus having convenient access to the Marriott. The hotel is gorgeous and the food is remarkable and reasonably priced. It is a nature lovers dream. Just off the porch we saw wild quail, humming birds and a couple of coyotes. The owner is super responsive. When my wife forgot her hair dryer, I texted her asking if they had one. To my surprise, one was delivered to our door hours later! I will definitely be back!!!"

  • None better in Green Valley at this price

"Bring your essentials, e.g., tooth brush, clothes, and incidentals and rent this property before others secure it. The owner, Paul, exceeds all expectations as an owner and will do anything to make your stay pleasant and delightful. He gets the local paper delivered free to you; he provides paid up membership to the Green Valley Recreation facilities to you, again, free. The only item missing in the kitchen was a pizza cutter, and by now I am certain he has provided that item! We rented in GV for the past 4 years January-March and this is the best of them all, far above all of them combined. We finally bought a home in GV and notwithstanding, we will surely be calling Paul on occasion to just stay friends. He is that kind of a delightful person. He and his property are the best!!"

  • Wow, What A View

"This lovely cabin has wonderful views of the mountains and is surrounded by beautiful pine trees. Plus, the temperature is about 20-30 degrees cooler than in Tucson! The pictures of the inside of the cabin on this website are accurate - very nice and spacious accommodations. The beds are comfortable and the linens & towels are soft & plentiful. We found the kitchen very well stocked with everything that we needed to cook our meals and the owner has numerous spices (not just salt & pepper) for the renter to use. All the appliances worked properly and we had no trouble using the TVs, remotes & WIFI in the cabin. The owner of this log cabin house was a delight to deal with and promptly replied to all my questions and returned our damage deposit within two days of us leaving. There are very large decks on all the levels with outside furniture for you to sit on and relax, look at the amazing scenery, or read a good book. It also has a large gas grill to cook your steaks, fish, hamburgers, hot dogs or anything else that you choose. The neighborhood is nice and quiet and the town of Summerhaven is just a 10-15 minute walk down the hill. There are three restaurants close by and a little store to buy things you forgot to bring with you in town. Plus, we went fishing at Rose Canyon Lake, only 8 miles away, and also hiking on the numerous trails on Mt. Lemmon. Great fun with the grandkids! There are also several picnic areas on Mt. Lemmon, if that is what you enjoy. The only negative is the 50 steps down to the cabin from the parking area. We found that a little challenging carrying our luggage & supplies down the stairs when we arrived and up the stairs when we left with the 9,000 ft. altitude. We had a wonderful time and made fun memories with our family here, plus we got out of the 100 degree plus temperatures of Tucson for a while. We would definitely recommend this rental property."
