Recent Tucson & Southern Arizona reviews

  • Shh, Don’t tell anyone…

"I almost didn’t write a review for this “one of a kind” rental that has everything you would want and need when visiting the Tucson area. I would rather keep it a secret because the less people that know about it the better chance I will have to rent it again next winter. I would run out of room telling you everything that we found good about this home but will try to sum it up in a couple of paragraphs. First of all I’ve never personally met the owner (Guy) but have talked with him several times over the phone. Guy is an owner who is easily reached and who would bend over backwards to make your vacation a memorable one. We visited Tucson in early March 2015 when the temperatures are usually not warm enough to justify turning on the solar heat for the swimming pool. When Guy learned that my two young Grandsons would be visiting he sent his maintenance man Robert over to turn on the heat and get the pool up and running. The solar heating system worked great and the pool temperature warmed up to a comfortable level within a couple of days. And I can’t say enough about Guy’s right hand man Robert. Besides getting the pool going Robert had to make a minor repair during our stay. Robert is a capable, considerate and friendly man who is easy to get along with. Guy your lucky to have a gentleman like Robert taking care of your home. Guy’s home had everything we needed and more. The home is so large that even with a full house there was plenty of room if one needed “their own space” to get away for awhile. This home is furnished with everything as described. What you don’t get from the description is how beautiful the views are and the great location in NE Tucson. The home offers first class views of the Sonoran Desert and the Catalina Mountains from not only your patio but form several windows in the home. Your only minutes away from Saguaro National Park and Sabino Canyon, both of which I would recommend seeing. We loved the convenient location which is in a quiet residential area only a short distance from major roads. All your shopping is only a few minute drive from the house. Our family will never forget our daily morning and evening walks in the neighborhood where we seldom seen neighbors out or cars on the road. Thank you Guy for letting our family enjoy your home. We look forward to a longer stay next winter."

  • Emerald of Bisbee

"Our first time staying at the Emerald. Very comfortable place and has everything you need. So convenient for walking to town and for our birding adventures. And so quiet! We had a great weekend. I enjoyed the skylight but could see how it might wake you up too early in the summer! Parking was a little challenging but not bad. Thanks for having us."

  • Home away from home!

"The description and the listing photos of the property was spot on and located in the upscale Catalina Foothills. The property was clean and well-maintained. Laurie has an instruction sheet for use of TV, phone, Internet access, etc. The kitchen is well stocked with the dishes and utensils for a large family. The one-car garage was particularly convenient during the monsoon season. We had a great stay and highly recommend anyone staying here!"

  • Wonderful house with all the amenties

"My family recently stayed at this house visiting friends and family in Tucson. I grew up in Tucson and now live in Boston. We felt completely at home here. My kids had a blast playing in the backyard and just hanging out in the roomy living room. Kitchen and house is well stocked and everything was easy to find. We didn't get to fully enjoy the pool due to the time of year, but it is a very nice patio and well kept pool. Mike was super helpful and responsive with all of our questions. All said, it's a great place and we will definitely be returning!"

Visit the Old West with Tombstone Vacation Rentals

The famed western town of Tombstone offers a chance to step back in time to when men had duels in the dusty streets, gunfire was a common sound, and horses were the primary mode of transportation. You can eat a meal in Big Nose Kate's Saloon, ride in a covered wagon through town, or even check out O.K Corral. Helldorado town offers visitors a reenactment of an old western gunfight.
