  • The mountains are calling.

"The two bedroom house was comfortable and well equipped. The views out the back were splendid and there is a lot to do in the area. We played golf, hiked, went to the Tumacacori mission National Monument and shopped around Tubac. You won't want to leave."

  • Seeking sun and relaxation

"Excellent vacation condo!! Clean, everyting kitchen utensil we needed, great sky terrace for evening meals, and the pool was awesome. The owner was great to deal with...and the rental office as well. Met some really nice neighbors, who gave us some local attractions to see. We had a great time!"

  • Wonderful stay

"We just returned from a terrific week at this property. The house is secluded and elegant. Its one of the few places that one can spend an entire day with virtually no outside sounds other than those made by nature. A million stars come out at night at night. We made day trips to Tubac and Tucson, but we enjoyed most of all the hiking and nature watching possible at this property. We had no problems of any type and the owner checked in from time to time to make sure everything was in order. Definitely a place we would return to."

Tubac Travel Tips

Get to the Real Arizona by Staying in Tubac Rentals

A trip to Southern Arizona would not be complete without a stay in Tubac. Tubac rentals can be obtained quite reasonably and are great places to spend subdued Arizona vacations. The town is surrounded by high desert vistas. Such surrounding elements make the view from any Tubac lodging quite remarkable. It is quite nice to visit Tubac in the summer as it is significantly cooler than both Phoenix and Tucson.

Tubac Lodging near the Art Colony

In 1752, the Art Colony of Tubac was established, though it was originally a Spanish fort. Today, working artists’ studios cover the grounds. The Art Colony is easily accessible from most Tubac rentals. Be sure to leave your Tubac lodging early in the day to explore the local artist galleries and studios. Perhaps you might find something reminiscent of a Georgia O’Keefe to take home as a souvenir.

Arizona Vacations Always Include Historical National Parks

As you probably know, Arizona vacations cannot be complete unless you visit a national park or two during your stay. One such park near Tubac rentals is the Tumacacori National Historic Park. On the grounds, you will find three Spanish colonial missions dating back to the 17th century. The three missions include the Tumacacori which is open to the public all year long. The other two, the Guevavi and Calabazas, are open during the fall and winter months only.

Try Tons of Outdoor Fun near Tubac Rentals

Of course, part of the charm of Arizona vacations involves the endless list of outdoor activities that you can experience. In the Tubac area, hiking and camping are two of the most popular. The dirt roads around town and up the mountains allow hikers to get up close and personal with the Arizona desert. Sites to note include the Anza Trail, Madera Canyon, and Patagonia Lake. If you would rather spend the night in your comfortable Tubac lodging, simply pack a picnic.
