  • Great Condo for Ventana Canyon/Sunrise Area of Tucson

"This property offers a high-value, well-priced option in the swanky Ventana Canyon and Sunrise area of Tucson. The spacious corner unit offers a split floor plan, a screened porch and lots of windows and light. The washer and dryer off the guest room side is a nice option for longer stays as is the working fireplace. The well-equipped kitchen with newer appliances offers a nice venue if you choose to cook, with a peninsula that is open to a dining area. Closet space was ample. The tile and stone in the updated bathrooms was quite nice and we found plenty of towels. The complex pool was quite nice as was the tennis court and we enjoyed the trail access to Ventana Canyon and to the Loews Hotel, or it is a short walk to the hotel and lodge. A shopping complex nearby offered a high-end grocery, several restaurants including a lovely branch of El Charro and several banks and other services. We've stayed many times at the Loews and I'd recommend this condo for the additional space, amenities and other features if you are in town for more than a day or two. Visitors also are just a short drive from Sabino Canyon and from other Tucson attractions."

  • Starr Pass is the place to be!

"Having lived in Tucson in the mid 80s (before Starr Pass was developed) I thought the Catalina Foothills was the nicest area. I stand corrected. Starr Pass is where you want to be. It is a short drive to the University, the newly improved downtown area, Gates Pass and arguably the most beautiful area on earth, Saguaro National Monument. The Owl Casista is spacious, well appointed, nicely decorated and the beds and linens were top notch! While I did not golf, the course looked remarkable! It is a huge plus having convenient access to the Marriott. The hotel is gorgeous and the food is remarkable and reasonably priced. It is a nature lovers dream. Just off the porch we saw wild quail, humming birds and a couple of coyotes. The owner is super responsive. When my wife forgot her hair dryer, I texted her asking if they had one. To my surprise, one was delivered to our door hours later! I will definitely be back!!!"

  • Outstanding property for athletes training in Tucson!

"I brought several coached triathletes of mine to Tucson for a training camp and we stayed in this house AND the owner's equally perfect rental house directly across the street (#436693) for the duration of our camp. The houses were very clean, roomy, and well-decorated, and the location was IDEAL for our rides (including Mt. Lemmon, Saguaro National Park East and West, Gates Pass, Rillito River Path), runs (including Phone Line, Seven Falls, and Starr Pass trails, Rillito River Path), and swims (JCC pool). The area is an excellent training ground for all multisport athletes and Tucson has become a hotbed of endurance sports with the world's largest triathlon retailer, TriSports.com, located only a short bike ride (7 mi) away from this house. For anyone in good physical condition, you can walk to pretty much anything you need from this address (grocery stores, pharmacies, Starbucks, Trader Joe's, Chipotle, Target, Arizona Shuttle bus drop-off point on Speedway Blvd., etc.). HIGHLY recommended. Thanks!!"
