  • Great house in a great location

"The house was wonderfully furnished and spotlessly clean. What you see in the pictures and read in the description are exactly what you get. This place exceeded all our expectations. The king sized bed in the master was more comfortable than our bed at home. This was the best VRBO facility that we have stayed in to date. Our purpose in visiting Tucson was to hike and take pictures in Saguaro National Park and the surrounding area. We wanted a place to stay that was close to the city but not in the middle of it. This place was in the perfect location for us. Located in the foothills near the Catalina highway, it had plenty of outdoor space but was close to stores and restaurants. A 15 minute drive brought you to the visitors' center at the eastern section of Saguaro National Park. When we arrived, we were greeted by a family of 8 or 10 Harris Hawks perched in a tree in front of the house. Wildlife was plentiful including deer, rabbits, roadrunners, quail and a multitude of other species of birds feeding at the numerous bird feeders in the back yard. This area also has some of the best hiking and biking opportunities we have experienced anywhere. For sightseeing, a trip to Summerhaven at the top of Mt. Lemmon (elevation of 8,000+ feet) is a must. Or, if you are up to it, you can bike the 27 miles to the top. For hiking, be sure to check out the topographical map of the Coronado National Forest in the basket on the bookshelf. You can't go wrong with this place."

  • Married couple

"Love this well maintained house and it's location in a gated community of Arizona National Golf Course. It's as peaceful as it is beautiful. Lots of privacy with stunning views of surrounding mountains and intense sunsets. Sabino Canyon is only a twenty minute drive away to the most breath taking mountain hiking trails in the Catalinas. We spend three weeks yearly in Tucson and this has been our first choice for a home away from home for the past two years. We'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a respite from the hussle and bussel of the city!"

  • "Thanks, Ginny, for a wonderful week away from the ice, cold and snow of Minnesota. Your condo is beautiful and in a fabulous location for walking and hiking. We especially enjoyed the newly screened-in porch, the fireplace, the comfy living room with mountain views, the free long distance and wi-fi....all of the ammenities were great. We were even able to swim a few times despite the winter storms! Regards, Joan"

  • Fantastic Accomodations and Location!

"We loved this place! It is a perfect location near downtown and a short distance from the University of Arizona. The large patio area is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. The pool and spa are a plus! The kitchen is well-stocked and the entire place is very clean. The owners obviously love their home and keep it well-maintained. The decorations are an eclectic mix of the sourthwest and hispanic cultures and we loved the Halloween decor. Everywhere we looked we found another interesting art piece. Another plus is that it is very close to one of our favorite Tucson restaurants, El Charro (authentic southwest, hispanic cuisine). We had a variety of ages staying here (from early 20s to 70s) and all thought it was a perfect place. We were even able to have some family friends over for a barbecue and they loved it, too! The owners were very prompt in answering my questions prior to our arrival and while we weren't able to meet them in person, they were quite nice on the phone and through emails. I would definitely recommend this property to my family and friends for their stay in Tucson. And the next time I need a place for multiple people to stay in Tucson, I definitely will look this home up first!"
