  • Among the Best!

"My wife and I spent a month in this lovely and comfortable Vacation Rental. We could not have been more pleased. It was everything advertised and more! The Casita is beautifully furnished with an abundance of space for relaxing and, as my wife and I are fond of cooking together, the kitchen had plenty of surfaces for two people to be involved in food preparation without getting in each others way, sharp knives (not always found in similar rentals), and provided a fully equipped kitchen with quality appliances. A small library was available along with very helpful books about the southwest, birds and animals native to the area. Among the first impressions we had when arriving, was of the very thoughtful decorating touches that spoke of a sincere warmth and welcome to this home. The outside space was expansive with two patios, one just off the house and the other just a short walk along a well-designed pathway bordered by lighting in the evening. Both patios afforded spectacular views of the Santa Catalina Mountains. We could not get enough of the gentle wash of sunrise and sunset colors bathing the mountains daily. Another pathway led down a gentle slope to the fenced neighboring horse ranch. A swing provided space for quiet and relaxed viewing of the horses. The location provided a secure sense of privacy as the Casita sits on a large lot in a quiet neighbourhood of similar lot sizes. It is within walking distance of a trail leading into the Sabino Canyon Recreation Area and a short drive to the East Saguaro National Park and to Mt. Lemmon. For hikers like us, this was a perfect location. As well, there are a number of restaurants, grocery stores, art galleries and other shopping conveniences nearby. The city center of Tucson and the University area are easily accessible and we took advantage of all the city has to offer many times during our stay. The owners, Ro and Dave, provided an assortment of pamphlets and brochures on the many opportunities of this area and were always available and genuinely responsive to the slightest question or request. Even before we arrived, knowing that we were interested in spending a good amount of time hiking, they had provided us with information about several of their favorite hikes as well as links on the web for other information. This Vacation Rental felt like home from the moment we arrived, and we are very thankful to have had the opportunity to spend a month in this home."

  • Elegant and huge

"This older home has maintained it's elegance gracefully. It is so beautiful, and the caretaker,Janelle, made sure all our needs were met. It was impeccaby clean with decorative touches to please the eye. The outdoor area is also very large with lots of seating. The hot tub heats up quickly and the pool is maintained very well. There are lots of televisions including a huge one in the downstairs living room. There is a beautiful bar upstairs and another smaller one downstairs near the door to the patio. We even saw a bobcat out our window one morning chasing birds. Very cute! The location is ideal for easily getting to and from town shopping, groceries, and wonderful restaurants. The indoor and outdoor kitchens invite you to cook in them. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you would need. We cooked and baked with ease. At one point, we had all the bedrooms in use but the house is so big, we never felt crowded. The master suite is absolutely grand with a huge master bath, two very large walk in closets and a lovely balcony which we used every morning to watch the sun rise. The nighttime view from the solarium was priceless. Every night just before I went to bed, I would run back in to the solarium and sit in the dark for a few minutes and watch the twinkling Tucson display. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. Could not ask for more. KB from CT"

  • Great Stay

"Our stay at this home was a pleasure. Great patio to sit and enjoy the fountain and sun. The office space had a good computer desk and space to sit quietly and read. We walked to private open space many times. Great views of the mountains from the trails and places to sit. Saw some wildlife; bobcat, owls and many birds. We especially like the people in the neighborhood who were always friendly, sharing stories about Tucson with us. We like to cook at home and the kitchen was very user friendly. The home is conviniently located near many stores and resturants. Golf courses are plentiful. As mentioned to the owners parents, we would like to have had a blender, a potato peeler and a metal spatula for the BBQ. A bit more lighting in the living room for reading; minor things. But overall the house was a lovely place to stay."

  • Family Get Away

"We drove to Tucson from Austin, Texas and met our son and daughter-in-law, who had driven from the San Francisco area, for four wonderful days in Tucson. The house was just as pictured, and the yard was even better than advertised. Our kids have a dog who loved being able to roam around the yard safely. The fence provides total security. Wish we had been there a little later in the year, because the pool looked wonderful. We had a few minor issues with the house, and the property manager was very responsive as was the owner. We would definitely recommend this lovely home."
