"What an amazing stay! I brought Chinese colleagues here to experience my 'old home'. I came from Tucson 35 years ago. The beautiful desert has not changed, so timeless. The Sunset house, unobtrusively nestled into that desert. The feel of the home leaves you at one with the desert. The floor plan allowed each person to have their own room and private bath. Loved the courtyard in the middle. My room had a private outside entrance so I could go out unnoticed to enjoy the hot tub..yes, in the early mornings, sun rise, quail calling, beautiful sky! The kitchen, fully outfitted. I would return to find my colleagues had prepared traditional Chinese breakfast. They too felt the peacefulness of home, the connection to simpler times and the happy family eating around the big dining table. We had full moon, night walks, constant picture taking. Constant amazement over how beautiful, how pristine, magically quiet. So thorough was this stay for filling my need for home, and my guests' need for quiet beauty, that we all, for all our own reasons, were reluctant to leave. Many thank you's, Karen, for sharing your home with us. Yes, I will return."

"After just experiencing a "Not Wonderful" lodging in another city, Garcia House was such a treat. It really was like staying with a friend. The Casita was so comfortable. The bed was great, the kitchen had everything & more. My dog & I really enjoyed the screened in porch. I think my dog made a new friend. It was so relaxing. Fran was very helpful with restaurant suggestions, sightseeing help & general info. I will definitely be back. Thank you Fran, for everything."

Secret Gem - I Almost Don't Want to Leave a Review!
"This rental was truly a great find - I almost don't want to recommend it so it stays more of a secret. ;-)
This one-level house was just perfect for me, my hubby, our 4-legged critters, and our friends. You can easily host 8+ people at this rental without a problem and there's ample parking! The rooms were spacious, the bathrooms were stocked with plenty of toiletries and towels, and the covered back porch offered some really beautiful views and outside seating. Not to mention - it was incredibly quiet and secluded-feeling, which is a huge plus for us! :-) There are also some little trails on the property that are maintained well (dirt-packed) if you want to take a little stroll.
Like another reviewer mentioned - don't be deterred by the lack of an oven. There's a grocery store within about 10 minutes and it was easy enough to buy microwavable breakfast items and great fresh fruit. There is also a good-sized grill on the back porch - perfect for lunches and dinners. There's also plenty of dishes and silverware.
Bottom line: WE LOVED IT and it has definitely become our #1 go-to rental in Tucson."

"This is a great area for Hiking, cycling or just hanging out at the pool. The complex has a couple of pools that are quite and peaceful. There is a gate on the property to the Ventana trail. The condo is wonderful with lots of windows and nice view of the mountains. The two bedrooms and bathrooms are at opposite ends so if you have guests there is privacy. Kitchen is well appointed with every thing you need. Owners are very accommodating with exceptional communication."
