"We really enjoyed our month-long stay at this handsome hacienda and can't wait until our next visit. Well situated near the city of Tucson- you feel like you're in the middle of the desert- very quiet except for the calling coyotes, hooting owls and singing birds. And even though the very nice owners live next door, they left us alone and we never saw them except when we asked for help regarding things that had nothing to do with the house. Speaking of which, the cozy hacienda is tastefully decorated and furnished with all of the essential amenities and very clean. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the patio on the east side of the house overlooking a wash that provided great views of the Santa Catalina and Rincon mountains as well as sitting on the west side for the sunset over the Tucson Mountains. Simply put, this is a great place maintained by great people."

"I took my 17 year old daughter on a special mother/daughter bonding trip for her senior year of high school. We are so glad we picked this VRBO rather than Loews resort, which is where we originally tried to get reservations. It was quiet, cozy, comfortable and everything we could have hoped for. We loved its location in a quiet neighborhood in the foothills. We found a lovely hiking trail just a short drive up the road (Thunderbird/Sweetwater at the end of Camino del Cerro).
The bed was super comfortable and the casita was even more spacious than it looked in the pictures. Jim and Karen were terrific hosts. We felt very well cared for.
Highly recommend this property for a relaxing getaway or base camp for exploring Saguaro National Park! We hope to be back."

"The home was in a really convenient neighborhood. It is close to downtown Tucson, Saguaro West National Park, the Desert Museum, the freeway and good eating spots. It was very spacious.vews from the big deck were great in several directions. The kitchen was well equipped and roomy. It was very nice of the owners to allow us to park our car in the garage under the rental. They were accommodating whenever we had issues. We thought that there were a couple of things that needed updating: the master bed was very soft, hard to get in and out of and high for 70+ year olds, the front door from the deck needed a new lock, the barbeque did not work very well even after the owner worked on it. Nevertheless, the home was a fun location for the 4 of us from Minnesota. It was fun watching the coyotes from the deck walk up and down the road!"

"We enjoyed our stay at Casa Amapola. The house was very comfortable and well laid out. We spent our days and evenings outside enjoying the beautiful view overlooking the pool. The house is quite centrally located and easy to get to and Mark was great to work with. We hope to visit again soon."
