Secret Gem - I Almost Don't Want to Leave a Review!
"This rental was truly a great find - I almost don't want to recommend it so it stays more of a secret. ;-)
This one-level house was just perfect for me, my hubby, our 4-legged critters, and our friends. You can easily host 8+ people at this rental without a problem and there's ample parking! The rooms were spacious, the bathrooms were stocked with plenty of toiletries and towels, and the covered back porch offered some really beautiful views and outside seating. Not to mention - it was incredibly quiet and secluded-feeling, which is a huge plus for us! :-) There are also some little trails on the property that are maintained well (dirt-packed) if you want to take a little stroll.
Like another reviewer mentioned - don't be deterred by the lack of an oven. There's a grocery store within about 10 minutes and it was easy enough to buy microwavable breakfast items and great fresh fruit. There is also a good-sized grill on the back porch - perfect for lunches and dinners. There's also plenty of dishes and silverware.
Bottom line: WE LOVED IT and it has definitely become our #1 go-to rental in Tucson."

"This is our third visit to Starr Pass and we really enjoyed this casita. It is comfortable and bright with a fully equipped kitchen. I found maps, information and reading material to be a bonus. We loved to sit on the patio and watch the hummingbirds visit the bougainvillea. Ellen really is a great landlady! We had to change our dates due to a family illness and she was very understanding. There is golf, hiking, pool and fitness centre close at hand. We cooked some of our meals and we enjoyed visiting the Marriott hotel to dine or have a drink. We would certainly like to return in the future perhaps with family or friends as there is an adjoining guest room."

"We really enjoyed our month-long stay at this handsome hacienda and can't wait until our next visit. Well situated near the city of Tucson- you feel like you're in the middle of the desert- very quiet except for the calling coyotes, hooting owls and singing birds. And even though the very nice owners live next door, they left us alone and we never saw them except when we asked for help regarding things that had nothing to do with the house. Speaking of which, the cozy hacienda is tastefully decorated and furnished with all of the essential amenities and very clean. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the patio on the east side of the house overlooking a wash that provided great views of the Santa Catalina and Rincon mountains as well as sitting on the west side for the sunset over the Tucson Mountains. Simply put, this is a great place maintained by great people."

Cozy and relaxing with gorgeous mountain views and sunsets.
"It was the perfect location for us. We come down every February to attend the Gem Fair. We stayed 6 days and loved the location. Beautiful views, nice swimming pool and outdoor kitchen, close to Trader Joe's, Gourmet Girls Gluten Free Restaurant, Sprouts, and Whole Foods Market. John and Lisa respected our privacy but let us know if we needed anything we just had to ask. We would love to come back if it's available again next year and yes we would recommend to our friends."
