"LOVED this casita!! Brought my mom here in April 2014 because due to her health issues, I needed a two bedroom place. This casita was just what the dr ordered!! Mom and I each had our own rooms and bathrooms, and saved a lot of money fixing our breakfasts and a few meals in the cute kitchen. We popped popcorn in the microwave and stored the yummy Chocolate Therapy ice cream we discovered at Albertsons - in the freezer for our evening snacks! We live in a very windy area of California, so mom LOVED sitting out on the patio - so peaceful and quiet - with a GREAT view. Each day we looked for the javelinas to visit us, but only caught a glimpse of one as we drove up to the casita one night. Mom still teases me that she doesn't believe they exist and that I'm making them up! The older I get, the more I want some peacefulness in my life - and this casita is a piece of heaven for me. I loved it so much that my husband and I rented several days this Oct 2014 - another awesome stay! Love taking walks around the area, and the pool is really nice. Is a great base camp to branch out from to do daytrips and other activities. We plan on returning to see Tubac, taking some good hikes right nearby, seeing the butterfly exhibit at the zoo, eating at North restaurant at La Encantada mall (try to crispy potatoes there - yummmmm), and of course seeing the USC/U of Ariz football game every two years (hubby is a USC alumni). Am bringing mom and my sister back here in Apr 2015 so that my sister can take a glass blowing class at the Sonoran Glass School - they have a lot of artistic opportunities here - just a lot of neat things to explore in this town! Janet is a great owner - she is great at communicating - and is very willing to accomodate any special requests. I was concerned mom would slip in the shower w/o a bathmat (many hotels don't provide these) - but Janet made sure I had one for mom. Also got extra towels :) The casita has a lot of things you need - spices, olive & canola oil, salad dressings, condiments, napkins, basically everything short of the food you'd want to fix yourselves. Very convenient. What I love about it is that you don't really HAVE to go out anywhere - is so peaceful and wonderful just hanging out at the casita, that is nice to just be there. How many vacation spots can you say that about? Am dreaming I can own my own casita someday :)"

  • Enjoyable, comfortable, quiet and restful

"We, a couple in our late 50's were guests at this condo for 9 days in the second half of October. Our pre-stay dealings with Laura were pleasant and personable. The condo lives up to its description and photos. Clean and warmly furnished and decorated. The balcony is spacious and facing west and north. So no sun in the morning. Trees surrounding the condo do limit the mountain views somewhat, but also provide privacy and much bird chatter. The kitchen is very well stocked, even though we did not make much use of it. Our stay was intended as a break away from a very busy work schedule. And since we had visited Tucson and most of its sights before, we just stayed home much of the day, lazying around the pool and went out for dinner at night. Quite a few dining options nearby. We especially liked the outdoor patio at Risky Business for an evening drink a light meal. We did visit the Tanque Verde Swap Meet (interesting, as my wife manages a charity thrift store), Tubac and Mt. Lemmon. I managed to finish three books from the clubhouse library. The queen bed was splendid. Probably one of the best we ever found at a vacation rental. Overall a great stay at a great condo worth every penny of the very reasonable rent."

  • Home away from home

"Stocked with everything you could possibly need, this rental made our Tucson stay absolutely delightful. Our hosts thoughtfully provided suggestions for places to dine and shop and left maps of Tucson which made getting around very easy. The house is centrally located which makes food shopping a quick trip and many good restaurants are nearby. Read the Tucson magazine for suggestions for things to do. Enjoy the lovely yard, pool and barbecue. We drove from New York and really appreciated this quiet and comfortable home. Thanks, also, to our hosts for the welcome basket. Would happily stay here again!"
