  • Nice Place!

"We really enjoyed our stay here. The home is much larger than the pics show, there are two Master suites at opposite ends of the home. Kitchen is very nice with plenty of dishes. I would suggest adding some plastic cups for use around the pool area. Pool and hot tub are very nice, we enjoyed them everyday, there are plenty of chairs to sit on but only two lounge chairs, we went and bought two more cheap ones which were hard to find in March. Grocery stores and restaurants are nearby."

  • Unique house, great location

"Casa Amapola was a great house for the five of us who gathered there from three states for a weeklong family Christmas celebration – as well as the two of us who stayed on for another couple of weeks to enjoy its tranquility at the edge of the desert. The owners have created an exciting and at the same time comfortable space inside and out with their intriguing art objects throughout the house and the lovely cactus garden in a private poolside patio area behind it. Our dog enjoyed spending much of his days in that enclosed area – and so did we, especially because of the dramatic view it offered of the mountains. While the quiet neighborhood is so far out toward the desert that we spotted coyotes and a family of javelinas, its closeness to the interstate allowed us to quickly be in the center of Tucson – a great combination."

  • Superior accommodation

"The copper house was perfect for our one week stay in tucson. It is full of natural lights, simplify but tastefully furnish. We enjoyed peaceful evening on the patio before dinner. The bed is super comfortable. The owner is very easy to deal with. The house looks exactly like in the picture. Overall was a great experience and would recommend to anyone looking for an alternative from chain hotels and do not mind the modest looking neighborhood."

  • You will not find better hospitality

"This place is not your run-or-the-mill vacation rental. This property is managed by people who care about your experience. It is a very comfortable space and every need has been considered. I arrived with a few busy days ahead of me. Fran had asked in advance if I could use a few groceries to get going and she got them for me (for the cost of the groceries only) so the first days of meals were all taken care of! As well, the kitchen had lovely little bonuses like tortillas and wonderful salsa, brownies and sugar-free and full-on-sugar candies and chocolates. The space is warm and inviting and has two decks for use by the renters ... incredible! There is a stack of DVDs and books that I will have to come back to enjoy! Hosts Fran and Charlie work hard at making the space be just right and it is great!"
