"The home was in a really convenient neighborhood. It is close to downtown Tucson, Saguaro West National Park, the Desert Museum, the freeway and good eating spots. It was very spacious.vews from the big deck were great in several directions. The kitchen was well equipped and roomy. It was very nice of the owners to allow us to park our car in the garage under the rental. They were accommodating whenever we had issues. We thought that there were a couple of things that needed updating: the master bed was very soft, hard to get in and out of and high for 70+ year olds, the front door from the deck needed a new lock, the barbeque did not work very well even after the owner worked on it. Nevertheless, the home was a fun location for the 4 of us from Minnesota. It was fun watching the coyotes from the deck walk up and down the road!"

  • Desert Shangri-la

"I feel lucky to have found this casita out of thousands of rentals in the Tucson area. Read these reviews and they are consistently accurate. One of the owners, Sandy designed this house with her love of Western art. Both Jim and Sandy pay attention to every guests needs or requests. They are personable and treat you like friends as soon as you arrive. But if you want privacy and your personal space, they guarantee that as well. The house was immaculately clean everywhere. I took my shoes off and put slippers on because the tiled floor was so colorful and clean. I didn't want to change that appearance. Everything functioned well, I couldn't say anything negative here except the house is starting to book up quite a bit in advance. I had to look for another place to live in the future because I love the location so much. The coyotes really do howl here and there but don't bother you. I enjoyed sitting in the sunroom and listened to the birds, watched the Javalinas visit, saw the Mule Deer browsing and was humored by the activity of the Roadrunners. There were fleeting Hummingbirds and cooing Mourning Doves. I drove from the house to the Tucson downtown exit in 25 minutes. It was wonderful to have such peace yet close accessibility to Tucson. The Diamond Bell Ranch neighborhood consists of nice homes and I always felt safe. Overall great hospitality. Sandy baked some blueberry muffins for me that were delicious. Great to have waiting for me on my first morning."

  • Starr Pass is the place to be!

"Having lived in Tucson in the mid 80s (before Starr Pass was developed) I thought the Catalina Foothills was the nicest area. I stand corrected. Starr Pass is where you want to be. It is a short drive to the University, the newly improved downtown area, Gates Pass and arguably the most beautiful area on earth, Saguaro National Monument. The Owl Casista is spacious, well appointed, nicely decorated and the beds and linens were top notch! While I did not golf, the course looked remarkable! It is a huge plus having convenient access to the Marriott. The hotel is gorgeous and the food is remarkable and reasonably priced. It is a nature lovers dream. Just off the porch we saw wild quail, humming birds and a couple of coyotes. The owner is super responsive. When my wife forgot her hair dryer, I texted her asking if they had one. To my surprise, one was delivered to our door hours later! I will definitely be back!!!"

  • Perfect location

"This was our first trip to the South West and were extremely happy with stay at Cottage Court. We were looking for a comfortable place where we could feel at home, cook our own meals in a proper kitchen, walk to local shops, be able to have people over for a meal or visit and all in a quiet neighbourhood. That is exactly what we got. The Sugarmans went out of the way to make sure that we had everything we needed. The bed was comfy, the linens lovely, the kitchen was well equipped, we were close enough to museums and galleries in town and also had easy access to the roads out of town for when we went hiking. We would recommend this casita for anyone looking for a home away from home, in this gorgeous part of the country."
