  • Great Foothills location

"We stayed in this unit for 6 weeks, and found it to be very nicely furnished, with lots of extras, like extra paper products and paperbacks, etc. The owners were very easy to work with and responsive to our questions. The complex is quiet and well maintained, with a lovely pool and hot tub. The patio faces north, so it didn't catch much of the winter sun. The community dumpster was near the front of the unit, and the trash was collected twice/week early in the morning. The complex is convenient to grocery stores, restaurants, and many of the hiking trails in the Catalinas and Sabino Canyon."

  • Quiet Gem in the Heart of Tucson

"My husband and I and another friend thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kathleen's comfortable guest house. The weather was uncharacteristically chilly but we were warm and cozy inside. Great beds, interesting artwork and architectural details. Everything was very clean and since we'd been on the road a couple of weeks it was nice to have a washer. The house is only used as a rental, not as a primary residence, so it has the open feeling of a hotel, with the added bonus of being able to make coffee in the mornings, do some light cooking and assemble picnics for hikes. With two nice bedrooms, it's really big enough for 3-4 adults to stay very comfortably. Great value for the price!"

  • Excellent stay!

"This home is beautiful, spacious, inviting, and I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Tucson. The home was fully stocked, clean, and Jim and Sandy were helpful and wonderful proprietors. The price really doesn't do the home justice--you are getting an incredible bargain when you stay at Diamond Bell. We saw deer, heard coyotes, took great walks in the desert and saw all kinds of wildlife. Comfortable rooms, two large bathrooms, we will definitely stay here again."

  • Katie from California

"LOVED this casita!! Brought my mom here in April 2014 because due to her health issues, I needed a two bedroom place. This casita was just what the dr ordered!! Mom and I each had our own rooms and bathrooms, and saved a lot of money fixing our breakfasts and a few meals in the cute kitchen. We popped popcorn in the microwave and stored the yummy Chocolate Therapy ice cream we discovered at Albertsons - in the freezer for our evening snacks! We live in a very windy area of California, so mom LOVED sitting out on the patio - so peaceful and quiet - with a GREAT view. Each day we looked for the javelinas to visit us, but only caught a glimpse of one as we drove up to the casita one night. Mom still teases me that she doesn't believe they exist and that I'm making them up! The older I get, the more I want some peacefulness in my life - and this casita is a piece of heaven for me. I loved it so much that my husband and I rented several days this Oct 2014 - another awesome stay! Love taking walks around the area, and the pool is really nice. Is a great base camp to branch out from to do daytrips and other activities. We plan on returning to see Tubac, taking some good hikes right nearby, seeing the butterfly exhibit at the zoo, eating at North restaurant at La Encantada mall (try to crispy potatoes there - yummmmm), and of course seeing the USC/U of Ariz football game every two years (hubby is a USC alumni). Am bringing mom and my sister back here in Apr 2015 so that my sister can take a glass blowing class at the Sonoran Glass School - they have a lot of artistic opportunities here - just a lot of neat things to explore in this town! Janet is a great owner - she is great at communicating - and is very willing to accomodate any special requests. I was concerned mom would slip in the shower w/o a bathmat (many hotels don't provide these) - but Janet made sure I had one for mom. Also got extra towels :) The casita has a lot of things you need - spices, olive & canola oil, salad dressings, condiments, napkins, basically everything short of the food you'd want to fix yourselves. Very convenient. What I love about it is that you don't really HAVE to go out anywhere - is so peaceful and wonderful just hanging out at the casita, that is nice to just be there. How many vacation spots can you say that about? Am dreaming I can own my own casita someday :)"
