  • Lovely House and Desert Garden

"The cottage was very comfortable and well maintained We enjoyed the quiet and sitting on the patio watching the bunnies and quail. Dee and Tom are warm and helpful hosts. We could just stay a week but this is a great place for "snow birds" to rent for much longer -having a laundry room is a real asset for extended stays too. -Ellen and Pat from the midwest"

  • Home away from home

"Stocked with everything you could possibly need, this rental made our Tucson stay absolutely delightful. Our hosts thoughtfully provided suggestions for places to dine and shop and left maps of Tucson which made getting around very easy. The house is centrally located which makes food shopping a quick trip and many good restaurants are nearby. Read the Tucson magazine for suggestions for things to do. Enjoy the lovely yard, pool and barbecue. We drove from New York and really appreciated this quiet and comfortable home. Thanks, also, to our hosts for the welcome basket. Would happily stay here again!"

  • So good, I came back for another stay!

"I originally stayed rented out the Hacienda Hideout while I was in grad school back in 2009, and I loved it so much that I promised myself I'd come back at some point. Although that was five years ago, I finally made it back, and I am still in love with this place. Even though I was an older student when I stayed here the first time, this place was/is like the ultimate getaway and is a great place to stay for weekend trips, a romantic getaway, or for the ultimate snowbirds. Each time I came home, I felt like I was escaping from the city! It is a cute little guest house on a ranch just yards away from the main house with stunning views of the mountains on the eastern and western sides. You are essentially surrounded by nature-- a saguaro and barrel cacti outside your window and depending on the season, you might see a fox, javelina, hummingbirds, deer, or owls in the yard! The house is a designed in a very traditional Southwestern style with polished concrete flooring, sturdy hardwood and quality leather furniture, authentic Southwestern decorations, and includes a washer and dryer! There is a back patio with an amazing view of the mountains and is great for breakfast and enjoying the sunsets. You don't want to miss out on this one! The location is perfect, too! It is also conveniently close to Gates Pass-- allowing easy access to watch the sun rise and set everyday if you wish along with the Saguaro National Park (west side), the Desert Museum, and old Tucson. Downtown is close by and there is a farmer's market along with several grocery stores nearby, as well. The landlords are amazing, too-- very down-to-earth, friendly, and accomodating people-- they go out of their way to make you feel at home. I asked if the guesthouse had a juicer, and they bought one! I have rented guesthouses all over the country, and I have to say that this place is my favorite of all. Trust me on this one, folks-- you don't want to miss out!"
