  • The mountains are gorgeous and so is the condo.

"We had a great stay in Deborah's unit in The Pinnacle Canyon Condominiums. The unit is clean and well-furnished, the beds are comfortably firm, and there is plenty of water pressure. Wireless internet and cable TV both work well. Deborah answered all our questions promptly and was very professional to deal with. We loved the pool area; it has beautiful landscaping and super comfortable lounge chairs. There are shade trees as well as palm trees, a large lighted gazebo with a ceiling fan, a huge outdoor fireplace with couches and easy chairs, and two barbeque pits. The pool itself has fountains along one side and the hot tub was nice and warm. (This complex appears to have more verdant landscaping than others we saw. In fact, from the satellite view of Google Maps, it's the only green area for miles around.) You have to enter the complex through the gate on Sunrise Drive, but you can exit through the gate on Territory Drive to easily reach the shopping area next door. There is a Basha's (similar to Safeway), Subway, Papa John’s Pizza, and six or seven sit-down restaurants. Highlights of our trip include: the tram ride up the Sabino Canyon Trail, view of the sunset from Gates Pass in Tucson Mountain Park, the Flaundrau Planetarium and Mineral Museum, and Tohono Chul Park. The mountains are absolutely gorgeous and we spent a lot of time driving around the foothills."

  • A nice home away from noisy downtown in a quiet, well maintained neighborhood.

"This is a house for either a quick weekend or a month long getaway. This is a great space for a family or a group of friends. I would definitely stay here again. The beds are comfortable, water hot, and the night sky dotted with countless stars as there is not a lot of light pollution in the area. The living room isn't huge but the backyard with patio and grill is the place to gather. The only downside I can think of is that there isn't much around for a city boy like me. That being said, it is a very easy drive to the downtown area."

  • Another wonderful vacation at the Owl Casita!

"This is our 3rd time back to Owl is like coming home. I sleep better here than anywhere else I can remember...I love to leave the windows open at night to let in the night air and hear the night sounds. The beds are unbelievably comfortable and am going to find out where the mattress came from so I can get one at home! There were a few changes this year, striking new bedding and paint. As always, we seem to settle right in and get into our Starr Pass routine of early morning coffee and then a glorious walk...then off to the pool before it gets too warm. Just floating in the silent water with a hawk circling overhead is something one can not really describe. This time we explored a little bit more via the Marriot Resort...they offer early morning guided nature hikes that are not too difficult and our guide taught us so much interesting information about the cactus and birds of the region. We are from the Pacific Northwest so it is all so very different. We look forward to our 4th visit next year. Oh! We had fun exploring the other side of the Valley this year too...over in the LaPaloma area, and absolutely go visit the Air Thanks again for a restorative week."

  • Excellent in Tucson

"This is a great place to stay. The location and the hosts and the accomodations are the best. The perfectly laid out casita and the beautiful garden with sculpture and artwork was all wonderful. We loved it all. We will return without hesitation. The only thing that could make me happier would be an update to the tub/shower area. Othewise, no complaints about the casita or bathroom. If Christine ever does a cookbook, you will want it. She makes some of the best food I have ever had anywhere. I highly recommend the casita."
