  • Great access to downtown and U of A

"My husband and I had a very comfortable, 4-night stay. The support we received before, during, and after our stay was superb. Our hosts were hospitable and very helpful. The house is wonderfully appointed. We especially enjoyed the close proximity to all the downtown restaurants as well as the streetcar which proved to be a fast, convenient, and inexpensive method of transportation to the U of A."

  • Gem show guests

"David's house was an excellent place for our group of six to call home for a month while in Tucson for the Gem and Mineral Shows. Check in/out is easy, and David supplies detailed info you'll need to get settled. It's in a great location on the eastern side of Tucson and was an easy drive to "town," had lots of convenient shopping and restaurants, yet was quiet and close to wonderful walking trails along the wash. The courtyard was a little sanctuary itself. The house is lovely, spacious, and very comfortable. The updated kitchen and the dining arrangements were perfect for our large group. (We had many wonderful meals at your beautiful table!) The bedrooms and baths are situated to afford everyone plenty of privacy, even when we had a few extra guests. David is thoughtful, helpful, and easy to communicate with. Any issues were quickly and easily resolved. I highly recommend this property. Thanks David! We look forward to returning next year!!"

  • Wonderful Secluded Casita

"We loved our time at Casita Luminosa - thank you Cynthia & Allen for opening it up to others! The photos shown do a nice job of showing what we experienced. It is a wonderful spot for 2 - on the west side of Tucson. We were able to enjoy spectacular sunsets, and beautiful sunrises. Cynthia gave us a great overview when we checked in - and allowed us plenty of space during our stay. It is a little piece of heaven! Secluded, and full of nature - birds, coyotes at dusk and again at dawn, and even spotted a pair of owls. Near the Desert Museum and the Saguaro National Park - West Visitor Center. Thoughtful little things that were at the casita that were not expected: hiking sticks; cooler as well as paper products. Cannot say enough about this little place in what seems to be the middle of the big saguaros. We will be back!"

  • Spectacular sunsets and Tucson city lights

"After renting in several locations in Tucson over the years, we were happy to find this beautiful home on HomeAway. The owner was very accommodating and provided everything we could want. The most spectacular views can be seen from the pool deck, of the Catalina Mountains and the Tucson city lights. We enjoyed watching the hourly changes, and most of all, the beautiful sunsets. We used the heated community pool almost daily. We enjoyed the wildlife in the area: deer, coyotes, hummingbirds, hawks, rabbits, roadrunners and quail. The location of the home is convenient for shopping (Whole Foods and Safeway) and for revisiting the many attractions Tucson has to offer: DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun, Sabino Canyon, Sajuaro National Park, Old Town Artisans, Tubac and the many museums and galleries downtown. We look forward to returning in 2015!"
