  • Great Vintage Studio Casita

"My husband and I spent 10 days in early April at this nice casita in Tucson. It was close enough to 4th Street, the University and downtown to easily walk, while still being quiet and secluded. It has easy access to I-10, without any freeway noise. It was also easy to get to around Tucson for sightseeing. The weather varied from cool to warm but the casita was always comfortable. It was very clean and well equipped, and the bed was great. The owner did a thorough cleaning and linens swap since we stayed over a week. Debra also deserves a recommendation. She was very personable, helpful and informative. She recommended events we could attend and also the restaurant, Mother Hubbard's, that she owns with a partner. It's obvious she loves the area and desires to make her guests comfortable. We recommend the casita if you want an "Old Tucson" feel and want to be close to downtown."

  • Great place

"What a beautiful place. Spent a week here in June and was glad I chose this one. John, the owner, was very helpful and pleasant. It's located in a nice, quiet and safe neighborhood at the end of a culdesac. And having use of the garage was a great option. It was easy to find and close to a lot of shops, etc. Will definitely keep this one in mind for next time - very comfortable and immaculate."

  • Great house in a great location

"The house was wonderfully furnished and spotlessly clean. What you see in the pictures and read in the description are exactly what you get. This place exceeded all our expectations. The king sized bed in the master was more comfortable than our bed at home. This was the best VRBO facility that we have stayed in to date. Our purpose in visiting Tucson was to hike and take pictures in Saguaro National Park and the surrounding area. We wanted a place to stay that was close to the city but not in the middle of it. This place was in the perfect location for us. Located in the foothills near the Catalina highway, it had plenty of outdoor space but was close to stores and restaurants. A 15 minute drive brought you to the visitors' center at the eastern section of Saguaro National Park. When we arrived, we were greeted by a family of 8 or 10 Harris Hawks perched in a tree in front of the house. Wildlife was plentiful including deer, rabbits, roadrunners, quail and a multitude of other species of birds feeding at the numerous bird feeders in the back yard. This area also has some of the best hiking and biking opportunities we have experienced anywhere. For sightseeing, a trip to Summerhaven at the top of Mt. Lemmon (elevation of 8,000+ feet) is a must. Or, if you are up to it, you can bike the 27 miles to the top. For hiking, be sure to check out the topographical map of the Coronado National Forest in the basket on the bookshelf. You can't go wrong with this place."
