  • Gorgeous condo in a gorgeous setting!

"Pick any superlative you wish. This place deserves it. Close to nature and with an uninterrupted view of the breathtaking Santa Catalina Mountains, this quiet cozy condo provided everything we could have hoped for: comfort, privacy and easy access to all that Tucson has to offer. Add to this charming and accommodating owners and you can understand why we so enjoyed ourselves. But don't be fooled by the 5-star rating. It actually deserves at least 6."

  • Lovely home with fabulous views!

"We rented this grand home for just over a week to attend a family wedding. The house is exactly as described, expansive, well equipped, very clean and nicely decorated. The view from the kitchen window is stunning. Our family made frequent and daily use of the pool and hot tub. The house accommodated a post wedding family BBQ very nicely. Booking the house went very smoothly, Evelyn and Marc are very responsive. On arrival, Marc came by and explained the intricacies of the house to us, he was very pleasant and not in the least intrusive. The air-conditioning was a perfect temperature and we never heard the neighbors. The views of the mountains are breath taking, the landscaping nicely cared for. There is a very pleasant sitting area out front where we had our morning coffee or afternoon tea. The kitchen has everything you could possible want. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were very sad to leave. As mentioned by another reviewer, this house is truly a dream house which we hope we can return to next year. It's a perfect spot for a family vacation. Simply bring your bathing suit and enjoy!"

  • Beautiful views

"The home was in a really convenient neighborhood. It is close to downtown Tucson, Saguaro West National Park, the Desert Museum, the freeway and good eating spots. It was very spacious.vews from the big deck were great in several directions. The kitchen was well equipped and roomy. It was very nice of the owners to allow us to park our car in the garage under the rental. They were accommodating whenever we had issues. We thought that there were a couple of things that needed updating: the master bed was very soft, hard to get in and out of and high for 70+ year olds, the front door from the deck needed a new lock, the barbeque did not work very well even after the owner worked on it. Nevertheless, the home was a fun location for the 4 of us from Minnesota. It was fun watching the coyotes from the deck walk up and down the road!"

  • Simply the best

"We've stayed at many VRBOs, in terrific locations, but this Casita in Tucson is the best. The Casita itself is beautifully appointed, and roomy, but it's the (private) patio and gardens that take the experience over the top. We came to Tucson for a "home base" for some birdwatching. Little did we know that the birding at the Casita would rival anything we found elsewhere -- Karen has birdfeeders up in numerous locations. We saw gila and ladder-backed woodpeckers, Costa's and broad-billed hummers, verdin, curve-billed thrasher, mourning doves, Gambel's quail and many more -- all in our bathrobes on the patio. Never before had we heard of bathrobe birding!! Jim and Karen are terrific hosts, we had great talks on their deck during happy hour. Treat yourselves to a stay at the Casita!!"
