  • Wonderful Secluded Casita

"We loved our time at Casita Luminosa - thank you Cynthia & Allen for opening it up to others! The photos shown do a nice job of showing what we experienced. It is a wonderful spot for 2 - on the west side of Tucson. We were able to enjoy spectacular sunsets, and beautiful sunrises. Cynthia gave us a great overview when we checked in - and allowed us plenty of space during our stay. It is a little piece of heaven! Secluded, and full of nature - birds, coyotes at dusk and again at dawn, and even spotted a pair of owls. Near the Desert Museum and the Saguaro National Park - West Visitor Center. Thoughtful little things that were at the casita that were not expected: hiking sticks; cooler as well as paper products. Cannot say enough about this little place in what seems to be the middle of the big saguaros. We will be back!"

  • Quiet Gem in the Heart of Tucson

"My husband and I and another friend thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kathleen's comfortable guest house. The weather was uncharacteristically chilly but we were warm and cozy inside. Great beds, interesting artwork and architectural details. Everything was very clean and since we'd been on the road a couple of weeks it was nice to have a washer. The house is only used as a rental, not as a primary residence, so it has the open feeling of a hotel, with the added bonus of being able to make coffee in the mornings, do some light cooking and assemble picnics for hikes. With two nice bedrooms, it's really big enough for 3-4 adults to stay very comfortably. Great value for the price!"

  • Desert Shangri-la

"I feel lucky to have found this casita out of thousands of rentals in the Tucson area. Read these reviews and they are consistently accurate. One of the owners, Sandy designed this house with her love of Western art. Both Jim and Sandy pay attention to every guests needs or requests. They are personable and treat you like friends as soon as you arrive. But if you want privacy and your personal space, they guarantee that as well. The house was immaculately clean everywhere. I took my shoes off and put slippers on because the tiled floor was so colorful and clean. I didn't want to change that appearance. Everything functioned well, I couldn't say anything negative here except the house is starting to book up quite a bit in advance. I had to look for another place to live in the future because I love the location so much. The coyotes really do howl here and there but don't bother you. I enjoyed sitting in the sunroom and listened to the birds, watched the Javalinas visit, saw the Mule Deer browsing and was humored by the activity of the Roadrunners. There were fleeting Hummingbirds and cooing Mourning Doves. I drove from the house to the Tucson downtown exit in 25 minutes. It was wonderful to have such peace yet close accessibility to Tucson. The Diamond Bell Ranch neighborhood consists of nice homes and I always felt safe. Overall great hospitality. Sandy baked some blueberry muffins for me that were delicious. Great to have waiting for me on my first morning."

  • Ideal location

"A beautifully and tastefully furnished, comfortable and well-equipped condo. The quiet location on the Ventana Canyon edge of the condo complex, with the deck looking into the trees toward the mountains, is a great place to be in the city while away from it. Between the nice hot tub, the pool, the exercise room, and the canyon trail access only a few feet away, it can be a good "spa" and exercise retreat. An easy drive into downtown, and a short mile down the hill to groceries, delis, good restaurants. I have a new appreciation for Tucson after staying here. And the owner, Laura, is encouragingly and quickly responsive to all questions."
