  • Perfect selection

"My father and I came to Tucson for a family member's graduation from the U of A. The home worked out perfectly for the two of us and was a lovely gathering place for coffee in the morning and a beer in the afternoon with relatives that stayed at La Paloma and with locals from Tucson. The single story, no stairs house was comfortable and accessible. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck and taking in the beautiful view. Hope to return someday."

  • Wonderful Secluded Casita

"We loved our time at Casita Luminosa - thank you Cynthia & Allen for opening it up to others! The photos shown do a nice job of showing what we experienced. It is a wonderful spot for 2 - on the west side of Tucson. We were able to enjoy spectacular sunsets, and beautiful sunrises. Cynthia gave us a great overview when we checked in - and allowed us plenty of space during our stay. It is a little piece of heaven! Secluded, and full of nature - birds, coyotes at dusk and again at dawn, and even spotted a pair of owls. Near the Desert Museum and the Saguaro National Park - West Visitor Center. Thoughtful little things that were at the casita that were not expected: hiking sticks; cooler as well as paper products. Cannot say enough about this little place in what seems to be the middle of the big saguaros. We will be back!"

  • Great place - wonderful setting - access to many activities

"My family really enjoyed staying at this condo. Our trip was over March 28-April 5 2015 and while intended to be mostly vacation it was also part business as we took care of some family business for my mother-in-law. The location was about 10-15 minutes from mother-in-law so that made that aspect of the trip that much easier. We scheduled this at the last minute and fortunately the owners were able to work with us to allow for a 1 week rental. They stayed in contact with us during our travel to Tucson and upon arrival so we were able to meet in a timely manner. They were flexible and communicated well. The property itself is nicely done. The kitchen was updated and had all the needed items for cooking, etc., even though we ate out a fair amount. The rooms were spacious and the beds very good. The condo property has a heated pool and we were able to get in several times - the kids had a blast as we did some of our regular pool games. We also made it over to Sabino Canyon (very short drive - but you can walk or bike there we just were short on time) for a couple of hikes. My wife enjoyed mornings out the patio area. There's lots of restaurants and things to do in the vicinity. The family walked a short distance up to the Ventana Canyon Golf and Racquet Club - there is a fitness trail with exercise stations that runs along the golf course property. We did the fitness trail all the way up to the start - it was a real blast! We ran into one unexpected interruption - the first night the owner turned on the AC to run. It ran continuously all night but never seemed to drop to the set temperature. It was not super hot yet so it did not overly concern me and our family was not bothered by the temp, but I decided to keep an eye on it. That same morning/day it continued to run without ever lowering to the preset temperature. I decided to call and let the owner know that there might some kind of issue. He had someone come over immediately to determine what might be happening - the AC was not functioning as it should be and needed to be addressed/replaced. He brought in a portable swamp cooler to help keep things cool and we ran the ceiling fans and opened the windows at night. While the AC was not fixed during our stay the owner was very conscious of it, showed empathy, and communicated with us frequently throughout the stay. He also made a nice gesture to accommodate this unanticipated occurrence. Great stay at a great place with great owner."

  • Relaxing Casa Indigo

"My family just spent the last three weeks in Tucson at the Casa Indigo property and loved it. Dave, who is the new owner of the property, is a real pleasure to deal with. He was very quick to respond to my initial inquiries about the house as well as responding to all my follow up emails. The kitchen is very well stocked and spacious layout is really nice for relaxing in the evening after a long day of business. The location was very important to us, close to the freeway, near a grocery store and centrally located to town. The house is up on a rise which gives you a great view of the town lights at night and a spectacular Sunrise in the morning. Thanks for the enjoyable stay Dave, hope to see you next year!"
