  • Exactly as advertised.

"Wonderful place to stay! The pluses are: quiet, near the University, near restaurants and shopping, well appointed, friendly owners, comfortable beds, attractive decor. I could go on but you get the picture. As far as cons go I honestly can't think on any. Everything is new and everything works! We stayed a month this year and we will stay two months next year."

  • Ocotillo House

"Ocotillo House was a great intro to Tucson living and exactly what my husband and I were looking for. It was located in a quiet more established neighborhood where we enjoyed early morning walks. The contrast between Tucson and our particularly wet part of the Pacific Northwest was extraordinary. We enjoyed our coffee in the mornings in the enclosed sitting area off the back of the house where large numbers of birds moved around in the trees: sapsuckers, house finches, doves and even quail. Ocotillo house has an ocotillo fence which was just sprouting leaves when we arrived. The location was perfect as a base for excursions to the Biosphere, Mt Lemmon, various botanical and desert parks. Michael was a host of information on things to do and see and on his recommendation we went to the Kartchner Caverns instead of the more well advertised Colossal Caves. From there on a tip from a docent we went to Ramsey Canyon, a Nature Conservancy grant which was the best experience of all our stay. After such a long day we were glad to get home. The house is well appointed and beautiful with clean lines high ceilings, the thick adobe walls which keep the interior cool even in the hottest part of the day. I liked the flow of the house which seemed very spacious and with enough privacy for two couples, though it was just myself and my husband. We had a fun afternoon with Michael and his best gal at a local brewpub, delightful people and good company and it turns out Michael restored Ocotillo house from a basic shell. This was a great experience."

  • Goodness Gracious - Amazing!

"This property is simply amazing - the pictures truly do not do it justice. This was one of two properties we rented to accommodate our 12 family members in town for a memorial. This ended up being the perfect place for us to get together in a very comfortable atmosphere. The 4th bedroom/3rd bath is SO WORTH IT - private bath, private patio with beautiful Sonoran desert views...next time I'm claiming the room as my own (not that the other rooms were anything less than astounding!). Love this place!"
