  • Great place to stay

"We really enjoyed our long weekend in Tucson staying at the Casa de Jocobus. A cute 1920s bungalow very well decorated with everything you need. The owner Mary is a pleasure to work with. We loved that we were about 5 blocks off the bike path!"

  • Relaxing Casa Indigo

"My family just spent the last three weeks in Tucson at the Casa Indigo property and loved it. Dave, who is the new owner of the property, is a real pleasure to deal with. He was very quick to respond to my initial inquiries about the house as well as responding to all my follow up emails. The kitchen is very well stocked and spacious layout is really nice for relaxing in the evening after a long day of business. The location was very important to us, close to the freeway, near a grocery store and centrally located to town. The house is up on a rise which gives you a great view of the town lights at night and a spectacular Sunrise in the morning. Thanks for the enjoyable stay Dave, hope to see you next year!"

  • Desert Shangri-la

"I feel lucky to have found this casita out of thousands of rentals in the Tucson area. Read these reviews and they are consistently accurate. One of the owners, Sandy designed this house with her love of Western art. Both Jim and Sandy pay attention to every guests needs or requests. They are personable and treat you like friends as soon as you arrive. But if you want privacy and your personal space, they guarantee that as well. The house was immaculately clean everywhere. I took my shoes off and put slippers on because the tiled floor was so colorful and clean. I didn't want to change that appearance. Everything functioned well, I couldn't say anything negative here except the house is starting to book up quite a bit in advance. I had to look for another place to live in the future because I love the location so much. The coyotes really do howl here and there but don't bother you. I enjoyed sitting in the sunroom and listened to the birds, watched the Javalinas visit, saw the Mule Deer browsing and was humored by the activity of the Roadrunners. There were fleeting Hummingbirds and cooing Mourning Doves. I drove from the house to the Tucson downtown exit in 25 minutes. It was wonderful to have such peace yet close accessibility to Tucson. The Diamond Bell Ranch neighborhood consists of nice homes and I always felt safe. Overall great hospitality. Sandy baked some blueberry muffins for me that were delicious. Great to have waiting for me on my first morning."

  • So good, I came back for another stay!

"I originally stayed rented out the Hacienda Hideout while I was in grad school back in 2009, and I loved it so much that I promised myself I'd come back at some point. Although that was five years ago, I finally made it back, and I am still in love with this place. Even though I was an older student when I stayed here the first time, this place was/is like the ultimate getaway and is a great place to stay for weekend trips, a romantic getaway, or for the ultimate snowbirds. Each time I came home, I felt like I was escaping from the city! It is a cute little guest house on a ranch just yards away from the main house with stunning views of the mountains on the eastern and western sides. You are essentially surrounded by nature-- a saguaro and barrel cacti outside your window and depending on the season, you might see a fox, javelina, hummingbirds, deer, or owls in the yard! The house is a designed in a very traditional Southwestern style with polished concrete flooring, sturdy hardwood and quality leather furniture, authentic Southwestern decorations, and includes a washer and dryer! There is a back patio with an amazing view of the mountains and is great for breakfast and enjoying the sunsets. You don't want to miss out on this one! The location is perfect, too! It is also conveniently close to Gates Pass-- allowing easy access to watch the sun rise and set everyday if you wish along with the Saguaro National Park (west side), the Desert Museum, and old Tucson. Downtown is close by and there is a farmer's market along with several grocery stores nearby, as well. The landlords are amazing, too-- very down-to-earth, friendly, and accomodating people-- they go out of their way to make you feel at home. I asked if the guesthouse had a juicer, and they bought one! I have rented guesthouses all over the country, and I have to say that this place is my favorite of all. Trust me on this one, folks-- you don't want to miss out!"
