  • Outstanding property for athletes training in Tucson!

"I brought several coached triathletes of mine to Tucson for a training camp and we stayed in this house AND the owner's equally perfect rental house directly across the street (#436693) for the duration of our camp. The houses were very clean, roomy, and well-decorated, and the location was IDEAL for our rides (including Mt. Lemmon, Saguaro National Park East and West, Gates Pass, Rillito River Path), runs (including Phone Line, Seven Falls, and Starr Pass trails, Rillito River Path), and swims (JCC pool). The area is an excellent training ground for all multisport athletes and Tucson has become a hotbed of endurance sports with the world's largest triathlon retailer, TriSports.com, located only a short bike ride (7 mi) away from this house. For anyone in good physical condition, you can walk to pretty much anything you need from this address (grocery stores, pharmacies, Starbucks, Trader Joe's, Chipotle, Target, Arizona Shuttle bus drop-off point on Speedway Blvd., etc.). HIGHLY recommended. Thanks!!"

  • Perfect snowbird nest, great layout, convenient to amenities

"This is our fifth year of snow-birding in Tucson, renting a different property each time. Quail Run is the first property that we are anxious to return to next year. It is appropriately furnished in Southwest decor, with some genuine antique furniture which made it very cozy. The beds were comfortable, and we used the nearby pool and workout facility nearly every day. The owners are great folks to work with, and accommodated our needs very graciously. It was clean and well-maintained, and the loft area was perfect for quilt-project work. Our daily walks included visits to Sabino Canyon recreation area. We entertained in the living/dining area, whose vaulted ceiling creates a spacious environment. We spent many afternoons reading on the sunny patio, soaking up the sunshine. We loved it!"

  • Relaxing Retreat!!!

"I had the opportunity to stay a week in February, 2014. The weather was wonderful and the retreat was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed spending time in the cozy indoors and also enjoyed mornings and evenings on the large patio, viewing sunrises and sunsets of the Catalina mountains. The location was in the midst of great golf courses, walking trails out side our door, wonderful restaurants, healthy grocery stores, and great shopping. Our retreat had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed that it was in a gated community with beautiful views of the mountains. Hiking in the mountains, bike riding, and exploring small art villages were also fun adventures for us. Very quiet, peaceful, and lots to do in the area."

  • Among the Best!

"My wife and I spent a month in this lovely and comfortable Vacation Rental. We could not have been more pleased. It was everything advertised and more! The Casita is beautifully furnished with an abundance of space for relaxing and, as my wife and I are fond of cooking together, the kitchen had plenty of surfaces for two people to be involved in food preparation without getting in each others way, sharp knives (not always found in similar rentals), and provided a fully equipped kitchen with quality appliances. A small library was available along with very helpful books about the southwest, birds and animals native to the area. Among the first impressions we had when arriving, was of the very thoughtful decorating touches that spoke of a sincere warmth and welcome to this home. The outside space was expansive with two patios, one just off the house and the other just a short walk along a well-designed pathway bordered by lighting in the evening. Both patios afforded spectacular views of the Santa Catalina Mountains. We could not get enough of the gentle wash of sunrise and sunset colors bathing the mountains daily. Another pathway led down a gentle slope to the fenced neighboring horse ranch. A swing provided space for quiet and relaxed viewing of the horses. The location provided a secure sense of privacy as the Casita sits on a large lot in a quiet neighbourhood of similar lot sizes. It is within walking distance of a trail leading into the Sabino Canyon Recreation Area and a short drive to the East Saguaro National Park and to Mt. Lemmon. For hikers like us, this was a perfect location. As well, there are a number of restaurants, grocery stores, art galleries and other shopping conveniences nearby. The city center of Tucson and the University area are easily accessible and we took advantage of all the city has to offer many times during our stay. The owners, Ro and Dave, provided an assortment of pamphlets and brochures on the many opportunities of this area and were always available and genuinely responsive to the slightest question or request. Even before we arrived, knowing that we were interested in spending a good amount of time hiking, they had provided us with information about several of their favorite hikes as well as links on the web for other information. This Vacation Rental felt like home from the moment we arrived, and we are very thankful to have had the opportunity to spend a month in this home."
