  • Wonderful lakefront experience!

"We stayed for a long weekend and had a great time! The dock and swimming area was perfect even if we never left home or had a boat. Enjoyed the wildlife and beautiful sunrises over the lake with excellent privacy. I had my dog with me and she had a blast swimming and even made an attempt to catch a deer :) Overall, a great time had by all ranging in ages from 8 to 66 -- we plan to make another trip next summer!"

  • Great place in Eureka Springs!

"We've stayed extensively in VRBO homes and this is one of the nicest. This house was built in the late 1800's, updates to the house are quirky but done nicely and add to the charm. The house is very clean and well maintained, as are the grounds outside. Location is good: Spring street just around the corner from the Crescent Hotel. A bit of a hike uphill from the downtown area but manageable. Furnished extensively with antiques, some of which are very unique. To say this house is "full" of furnishings is an understatement! Beds are comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed, though only used to make coffee. A nice porch on the second floor, but too cold outside to take advantage of. The one full bath with period clawfoot tub/shower could prove a challenge for multiple guests but was fine for the two of us. Satellite TV and wi-fi worked fine. Owner was accommodating for our short stay. Offsite manager very pleasant and offered restaurant recommendations, etc. There is no offstreet parking but plenty of street parking, which can be a problem in Eureka Springs. This is a great option for Eureka Springs, certainly better than hotels. Try the Sunday brunch at Crescent Hotel and pay a visit to Turpentine Wildlife Reserve."

  • Perfect Location!

"We all had such a great time in the Octagon House! We've stayed in many different places in Beaver Lake and this had the best location to the water. Granted the water level is low right now, can't be helped, but we had such an easy time getting from the house to the water. That made the frequent trips back to the house so much easier, having 3 kids under 7. Loved how all three kids slept perfectly in the bunk room without difficulties and than the adults could have the lower level to themselves. Everyday, the kids would take turns on the porch swing and loved it!! Just enough space so we could get away if needed. We were so grateful for the lower level entrance into the mud/laundry room then into the bathroom/shower. A little strange setup, but very useful. We have already talked about coming back next year! Beautiful views everyday and it's right across from the marina and then just across the lake from our little "Island" we love snorkeling and scuba diving at."
