"Mine, my brother's, and my sister's families along with our mother rented this property for a much needed vacation following some devastating losses. We had 15 people, including 3 teenagers, 3 kids under 10, and 1 rambunctious 3 yr old. There was more than enough room, and although not a luxurious home, Mary Lou's Lake House was just what a getaway lake house should be. It was clean and well kept. Gorgeous views from both level decks. The dock was perfect for spending a day swimming and or fishing. There was absolutely no cellular service at the property, but even the teenagers survived for 5 whole days without any outside contact! The only major problem that we had was that there is a steep staircase connecting the two floors, so I would recommend placing families with small children in the downstairs portion if only renting one section. Otherwise it was perfect for our family, and hopefully we will be able to make it a yearly trip😊"

"We have a great time for the 6 boys. We used Don Andreason Beaver Fever Guides for a striper fishing trip (it's about 10 minutes up the road) and this house was perfect for us. Everything is just as it looks in the pictures... gorgeous lake view and a great place to watch a serious lightning storm! Thanks to the hosts!"

"We stayed 3 nights at Verlos cabin. My husband, myself, my 11 year old daughter, and 16 year old son found that the cabin/home felt like home. The kitchen had everything needed and the living room was big enough for us to relax in. There is "cable" but when you get there you find out they get very limited channels there at the lake so that's a bit deceiving...but who goes to the lake to watch tv anyway? The bathrooms are nice size, though the shower heads are a bit low and low pressure, we aren't overly tall so it was fine. The beds are very comfortable and we all slept well. The walk down to the lake is nicely paved with rocks, the walk back up was fine for us but an older person would need to take it slow. We never even got a nibble on our line but maybe it was too early in the season. The short stop did not have any unlocked wifi as it states, but we had cell phone service the entire time we stayed and explored AR. We went to Eureka Springs (about 45 min away), we also went to Pea Ridge National Park, Turpentine Refuge, and War Eagle Cavern. There were two cabins very close next door and it would be fun to have friends rent one of those and have a real fun time together."
