  • Picture shows accurate beauty of this place

"Eleven of us stayed in this house during Bikes Blues and Barbeque and had a great time. Much better than a hotel. Would stay here again. The house was only 20minutes from Dickson Street. Great central location to BBQ and beautiful scenic rides. This house was more beautiful than the pictures and well cared for... just wished the hot tub had been open during our stay."

  • great trip with 4 and 8 yr olds

"We spent 4 nights at this cabin during our spring break. The cabin had a nice country view. One morning the cloudbank was right below us, which my 4 year old loved. It was fun to hear roosters crowing. The hot tub was big and wonderful. The cabin was clean, cute, and had everything we needed. The property manager was super easy and nice to communicate with. I was definitely glad to be a little ways out of town. We found lots of family-friendly activities, including the downtown rock/mineral shops, Lake Leatherwood City Park (beautiful!), Thorncrown Chapel (beautiful & quick enough for the kids), Onyx Cave (quick and easy for kids), Promised Land Zoo (drive-thru), War Eagle Cavern (tiny cute bats!), and War Eagle Mill. We drove up to Silver Dollar City one day. On the drive up from Dallas, we also stopped at Terra Studios, a funky art/glass-blowing attraction. Overall, the cabin was a very good value and we had a blast. (Note for families with kids: Before we got there, my one concern was whether the deck railing and/or bluff dropoff would be a safety concern for my kids, but I was completely comfortable with it for my kids after seeing it myself. The railings were close enough for them and there weren't any ledges that concerned me. Plus the cabin layout and heavy back door made it certain they wouldn't be sneaking out without my knowing.)"

  • great family getaway!

"We rented the Meringue Cottage from Tim and couldn't have been more pleased. The property is gorgeous, the house right out of a magazine and Tim was a great host. He made himself available without being intrusive and he was exceptionally kind and accommodating. We can't wait to go back!!!"

  • Great home with wonderful view

"The owners were great people and a pleasure to deal with. The house was perfect and had a view to die for. I recommend this place if you are looking to stay at a peaceful place that isn't too far away from the amenities of town."
