  • Charming cottage, great hosts, plenty of sight-seeing!

"My husband and I like to attend the Dave Matthews Band concerts at least once a year. Rogers, AR added the new Walmart Amphitheater last year (2014), and Dave Mattews Band had it in their schedule this year for the first time. We usually go to Texas, but wanted to try Arkansas this year. We are so glad that we did! We stayed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday night and left Wednesday morning. It felt like a full but relaxing vacation. The cottage was wonderful! We felt that our opportunites were endless! The first day there we explored the cottage. It has a wonderful front porch (one of 3 porches, by the way) with a very nice porch swing. When I was at the cottage, I took my books and Kindle out to the porch swing and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The wi-fi connection was excellent! I could read, watch the birds, or the thunderstorm, or catch up on email! My husband enjoyed the comfortable living area and great TV channel choices. It had a wonderful kitchen, a dining table big enough to serve a holiday dinner, a laundry area/mud porch, and two great bedrooms. We chose the bedroom with many, many windows and it was so relaxing to hear the rain pitter-patter on the roof. We took a walk on the grounds, and enjoyed the wooded walk trail and the meet-up with a sweet horse that we encountered. When we wanted a change, we got in the car, and explored around Rogers, AR. We enjoyed driving around Lake Atlanta. We drove to Bentonville, and explored their town square. We especially enjoyed the Walton Museum (which was free). We walked up and down the sidewalks and looked at the beautiful homes and gorgeous landscaping. We were too late to go inside the Crystal Museum (with high-quality art work), but we did get to walk around the beautiful gardens and paths. One day, we drove into Fayetteville and visited the Clinton House and Museum, where Hillary and Bill were married in 1975. We met people who were riding their bicycles and they recommended many great trails and hiking paths around this area of Arkansas. We visited a Farmer's market in town square of Fayetteville. There are many natural food places, if you enjoy that. We loved the way our hosts decorated the cottage. It was classy and elegant. We loved the colors they chose to decorate with, and the pieces they used to furnish the cottage. This was the first place we've ever stayed. where they didn't tape notes to every appliance, door or switch to give an instruction. They were superb hosts!"

  • Rent this property!!

"Spacious and accomodating. A great value for a large gathering/get together/reunion. Beautiful view and, if you're lucky, a neighbor is a pyrotechnic enthusiast who often shoots off his homemade fireworks!! Great lake access and close to town.....many amentities! Very reasonable rates........Would love to check "Romantic Getaway", but not sure how romantic you can get with 14 other people sharing the place with you!!!"

  • A place to make great memories!

"This is a cabin with a great view, very peaceful and relaxing, good size bedrooms, comfortable beds, inside is clean and homelike. We didn't catch any fish but it was March, I can imagine it would be very good in the summer. It is about 40 minutes to a Super Walmart. We went to the War Eagle Cavern. Cresent Hotel Ghost Tour- got some amazing pictures, Turpentine Creek, beautiful animals, but spent most of the time at the cabin exploring the grounds. The roads are crazy but that is expected in Arkansas. We brought inflatable boats for our teenage kids and they had a ball in the lake! Great family game nights and bonfires, and we brought home great memories!"

  • Sister Weekend

"My 6 sisters and I stayed in this house for a long weekend. We had a great time and the house was clean and well stocked. If we were going to be in the area we would definitely stay in this house again. We walked to the lake and there were plenty of restaurants close by."
