  • Great spot in downtown!

"This was a great location house. We were within walking distance to great eating and shopping. The decor was eclectic and homey. We really enjoyed our time. It was a little small for a family of 5. Needed another restroom."

  • Beautiful family-friendly river home

"Just spent a weekend here with 6 adults and 4 kids and we were wowed! I was expecting a cabin, but it's really a nice rustically decorated home on the river. I was expecting 3 bedrooms, but it was actually 3 BR with large, 2 person beds PLUS a 4th room with 4 bunks, perfect for the kids! The place was clean, looked brand new and had a beautiful view of the river from the inside and the shaded porch plus a maintained lawn to play frisbee, croquet or just chase frogs (all of which were provided). The river access was down a flight of well-maintained stairs and had a giant gravel bar with slow moving edges just perfect for the kids to splash and hunt crawdads. The place exceeded my expectations in every way! We'll definitely be back."

  • Great vacation home in Eureka Springs

"We were looking for a place that would hole 14 people for a family reunion. Gaslight vacation home was perfect! It is within walking distance to downtown Eureka Springs, but still in a quiet neighborhood with lots of privacy. The kids loved playing in the huge yard and they loved sleeping together in the huge up stair bedroom. Every bedroom (6 total) had its own private full bath and the house was very clean. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience."

  • Excellent stay

"Took my family for a quick vacation to the Lake and found this property to be just what we needed. Quiet neighborhood and the lake was a wonderful experience with the boat that Loren provided. The house was very clean and spacious. This house has everything a family could ask for when traveling on vacation or retreat. Thanks again."

Bella Vista Travel Tips

Tranquility and Beautiful Scenery at Bella Vista Vacation Rentals

The name Bella Vista aptly describes the incredible scenic beauty of the region. Home to seven lakes and tucked away in the foothills of the Ozarks, Bella Vista is a warm and welcoming community that is perfect for a relaxing vacation. The many lakes attract fishermen throughout the year. All except for two are no-wake lakes which make the fishing exceptional. Golfers have seven 18-hole golf courses to choose from. There are also two smaller 9-hole courses and a family putting course. This makes Bella Vista one of the most popular golfing retreats in the region. It is a great vacation destination for families. You can spend hours out on the lakes, fishing, paddling and swimming. Each of the lakes has a boat launch and several picnic areas around its shores. In the summertime, you can spend many leisurely hours relaxing at the lakeside.

Finding Your Way to Bella Vista Cabins

Bella Vista is a small that has only recently become an official city. It was originally incorporated as a retirement community in the mid-1960s, hence the many golf courses in the area. Because of its scenic beauty, moderate climate and lower property prices, many younger families have moved there over the years; it is certainly a growing area. Bella Vista is located in the far northwestern corner of Arkansas. It is approximately 100 miles from Little Rock and just over 200 miles from Oklahoma City. The best way to get there is by car as there are good road links to the surrounding communities.

Bella Vista Home Rental Options

A great advantage of planning a vacation in Bella Vista is that you will be able to stretch your travel budget a little further. The rental properties are both spacious and affordable which means that you can enjoy a vacation with your whole family. Homes are relatively modern and furnished comfortably. Many have spacious gardens or are located on one of the lake shores. This provides ample space for ball games and outdoor recreation with the family.

The Lakes and Activities at Arkansas Vacation Rentals in Bella Vista

If you plan to go boating or fishing on any of the lakes in the Bella Vista area, you will need to purchase a daily, weekly or seasonal permit from the local office. It is important that you keep the permit on you at all times as rangers may ask to see it from time to time. If you can’t produce it when asked, you can be fined. The only lakes that allow power boats are Loch Lomond, Lake Ann and Lake Windsor. There are no power limitations on these lakes. Waterskiing and Jet Skiing are allowed, making them the three most popular lakes for families. Picnic sites and boat launches can be easily accessed.

Lake Avalon, Lake Brittany, Lake Norwood and Lake Rayburn all have power boat limitations. On these lakes, most fishermen use paddle boats or canoes to head out into deeper waters. Lake Rayburn has a designated safe swimming area and picnic sites. Lake Avalon has a unique enclosed and heated fishing dock located off Tamworth Circle. It is one of the smallest lakes and a popular fishing spot with the locals. Although Lake Bella Vista is officially part of the neighboring city of Bentonville, many locals still visit there. It’s important to note, however, that you will require a separate permit when visiting this lake. The areas around the lakes have numerous trails that are open for hiking or mountain biking in the summer months. Birdwatching along the shoreline is another favorite pastime.
