  • A Truly Wonderful & Uplifting Experience

"We had an amazing and unforgettable time at Cave Creek Cabin! We were looking for a place to escape from our busy, hectic lives and to fully refocus. Not only did we find that there, yet we left spiritually renewed in each other and in every area of life! Being from Louisiana, we were not familiar with the county roads, and had some trouble finding the cabin. With much help from Paula Dominique, we were able to arrive safely. One key to the location is to watch for landmarks and reflectors. During the day, drive out and practice getting to and from the cabin. We hiked down to Cave Creek, which is to the left after you come out of the gate. Stay to the left on the trail. It's not far and is truly relaxing. We had a picnic next to the creek and listened to the sounds of flowing water. The cabin is breathtaking with it's spacious windows and open floor plans. It allowed the opportunity for wildlife and nature to flow in each day. We saw Deer/Fawn grazing every morning behind the cabin next to the barn, Fox, possible Bear, squirrels, many species of birds, and other wildlife. We recommend visiting the Elk Information Center in Jasper, AR to view the Elk. They will give you an easy map to get there, which is mostly viewable in the early morning and evening from 6 pm - 7 pm. They will also explain where to best view the Buffalo River, which is not far from Jasper. Jasper has Canoe rentals and guided tours. Our advice to plan and schedule ahead to fully get the benefits of the surroundings! Having an Arkansas Atlas is a must to really get around, as many of the travels are by GPS coordinates. While in Jasper, visit the historic Ozark Cafe. Great people, food, and filled with memories of long ago! Not far from the Cave Creek Cabin is the small historic town of Mount Judea (they call it Mount "Judy"). Visit the Eagle Rock Cafe and General Store, which has a gas station. Just all around wonderful people who truly made us feel right at home! Cave Creek Cabin & the surroundings are perfect for family time, couples retreat, kids, and full of adventure, exploring when planned ahead. Overall...we may have physically left, yet our hearts are drawn to those very places that changed our lives for the better. We are spiritually restored, and thankful for Paula and the cabin owners for sharing their space with us. We hope that you and your family enjoy your stay as much as we did! :-) Star & Todd"

  • Excellent Stay

"Spent two nights at Wits End Ranch with a very active group of senior citizens and we all had an AMAZING time. The cabin was exceptional and every need was met. It was wonderful that it was all one level. Each evening at sunset we took full advantage of the huge deck overlooking a spectacular view. The owner Dave was extremely accommodating and answered each of my questions and emails promptly. Our whole group wants to go again next year. Wits End Ranch will NOT dissappoint!"

  • Family getaway

"Eleven of us (7 adults/4 kids) had a marvelous weekend at this GEM!:) We used air mattresses in the living room and all slept comfortably in the main house. The Amazing views from the large back porch are not adequately captured on this website. We had a great time grilling outside and playing cards and dominoes on the backyard table. The inside of the house was immaculate and the caretakers Nancy and Morgan were very kind. Be aware that this IS secluded and approximately 45 minute drive to canoeing and restaurants. We didn't mind though, because the drive itself is breathtaking. I would recommend this home for anyone wanting a nature retreat. Thanks Mary for sharing your home with us!:)"
