  • Family weekend retreat

"What a great place! The house had everything we needed and more. We were looking for a weekend getaway, quiet but not too far away for our daughters to travel in. We enjoyed the quiet location & spent a lot of time on the deck visiting. Perfect weather & with a short walk to the boat dock, we were fishing in minutes. Just an overall great stay! The owners & caretakers were easy to work with & made sure we enjoyed our stay. We will definitely go back!"

  • Scenic Serenity

"Our family of 9 individuals, from 3 years to 80 years of age, travel all over the country. From Cape Cod, MA to San Diego, CA... And when all 9 individuals say they were 100% satisfied with Trimble Creek Lodge, this review should resonate will all that are contemplating on traveling to this particular location. From the moment we drove down the old dirt road to gain access to the 70+ acre property... We all were a bit worried with what we would find at the end of the road. However, the moment we entered the Trimble Creek Lodge property that all changed as we were greeted with beautifully groomed & spacious land... Immediately, we could tell the owners took great pride in keeping the land in excellent condition. There also was the spectacular views of the lake (absolutely breathtaking)! As we followed the gravel road to the lodge, where we would eventually would check-in, we noticed the adorable Meadow House, the Barn, the Bunk House, and then the main house with attached lodge… All within walking distance!!! My 80 year old grandparents were ecstatic that the houses were all in close proximity to one another, as they were able to walk back and forth from the Meadow House to the Lodge each day. We were given a short tour of the property and the houses we would be staying. Each house presented its own unique charm and character. The main house / lodge was the gathering point for our family each day/night, as this location offers the best views and also is the designated entertainment area. The Meadow House is at the opposite end of the property, where the grandparents stayed. This particular house offered complete tranquility and rest to those that stayed. The Barn House was another gem of the property! It has been converted to an apartment style living area, and offers a gorgeous bathroom! I could go on…and on about the lodging facilities at Trimble Creek Lodge… But I believe it’s equally important to note the extraordinary hospitality that was given to use by the owners. They went out of their way to make sure our every need was catered too…and I found that this type of treatment is a rarity, and we all felt a little spoiled as a result of how well we were taken care of. We already miss the wonderful smells of lavender on all the towels and bed linens… and the owners teaching us all how to make old-school ice cream (homemade ice cream)… and the owners baking us fresh homemade batch of bread for dinner! Thank you Lulu & Michael for a wonderful time!"

  • Family Time

"We rented the home for a few days and had some family members in the area come over one day for a family get together. We were all impressed with the house as it was roomy, very well laid out, clean and modern. The location was just remote enough that there was no traffic noise, but it was still a very short drive to groceries, gas, etc. Enjoyed driving to the close-by state park, walking some trails, touring the visitor center at the dam, etc. Beds were comfortable and a separate full bath off of each bedroom was a big plus. The owner that I dealt with was very accomodating and pleasant to talk with and he offered all kinds of good advice to make the trip more enjoyable. There is an app for your cell that can be downloaded that provides great information, links an locations for weather, area attractions, restaurants and so forth while in the area. AT&T cell coverage seems to work well everywhere we went. (Using the app to write this review on the last night here using the free WiFi in the house.) Definitely hope to come back here sometime soon. Forgot to mention.... the views of the river and surrounding scenery were unbeatable."

  • My daughters and I stayed at the Riverside Vacation Home on the White River.

"This is our second time staying at one of the Riverside Vacation Homes. It is such a relaxing spot. I love to get up early in the morning and sit on the porch and drink coffee and read, listening to the birds and wildlife waking up. It refreshes my soul to sit and watch the river flow by. There is excellent fishing just off the bank or choose to rent a guide. We did this both times and it was so much fun. There are many attractions for the nature lover, walking, fishing, hiking. Or my favorite just relaxing. The homes are very clean and have such a personal touch in furnishing's it is like visiting friends. Spaciousness for many family members as we had join us throughout the week. I would recommend River Vacation Homes to any family or even individual that just enjoys a beautiful view, peace and quite other than nature. The fog coming up the river each day is quite a delight. We could of stayed for weeks if home hadn't been calling us back. We will definitely come back again. The owners were most gracious and attentive to our needs. thanks so much."
