"Being a traveler and used to the amenities of big hotels in major cities, beautiful resorts and vacation homes, I was very surprised to find a gem - Trimble Creek Lodge - in the heart of the Ozarks. From the moment, my brother and I stepped out of the car to our final day at this resort, we were impressed by the level of personalized service by the proprietors, Lorilee and Mike. They were not only warm, hospitable and friendly hosts, but very informative and highly knowledgeable about the area. They lent a special touch to everything – from the welcome sign that greeted us as we entered the lodge, to the bouquet of fresh flowers delivered to the rooms daily. The cabins were very CLEAN, cozy and charming; the décor added to the feeling of a real home.
Upon arrival, and after being led to our quarters, my first impulse was to lay in bed and sleep because I was tired from driving. But the scenery beckoned. The large windows in the lodge offered a view of Bull Shoals Lake that was irresistible and breathtaking. One could read, play a game of pool or backgammon or simply sit, relax and enjoy nature. The gravel paths that meandered around the property offered many surprises – a vegetable garden, a tree house, a homey barn, a small grove of chestnut trees, beautiful rocks from the “Natural State” and breathtaking views of the lake and its creeks.
We sampled Lorilee’s delicious home-made bread, which was freshly baked, but disappointingly, we did not have the time to take the lesson in bread making due to the lack of time.
Trimble Creek offered a lot of privacy and a welcome relief from the stresses of city living.
I highly recommend this beautiful resort and will definitely return and hope to stay longer!"

My daughters and I stayed at the Riverside Vacation Home on the White River.
"This is our second time staying at one of the Riverside Vacation Homes. It is such a relaxing spot. I love to get up early in the morning and sit on the porch and drink coffee and read, listening to the birds and wildlife waking up. It refreshes my soul to sit and watch the river flow by. There is excellent fishing just off the bank or choose to rent a guide. We did this both times and it was so much fun. There are many attractions for the nature lover, walking, fishing, hiking. Or my favorite just relaxing. The homes are very clean and have such a personal touch in furnishing's it is like visiting friends. Spaciousness for many family members as we had join us throughout the week. I would recommend River Vacation Homes to any family or even individual that just enjoys a beautiful view, peace and quite other than nature. The fog coming up the river each day is quite a delight. We could of stayed for weeks if home hadn't been calling us back. We will definitely come back again. The owners were most gracious and attentive to our needs. thanks so much."

"We had a girls weekend at the Hermitage and absolutely loved it! Enjoyed hanging out at the dock and the amazing natural surroundings. The cabin was very quiet, clean, and just as described. The owners and caretaker did a great job to stock the cabin with the necessities and after a trip to Walmart in Flippin, we didn't have to leave the place. Would definitely stay there again and look forward to more trips to the lake."

"Took my elderly parents, two grown daughters, and their families - 7 adults, 2 children, and a 1 year old - to the Bull Shoals area for Memorial weekend. This house made our trip so enjoyable and memorable. Absolutely pristine and perfectly appointed, with wonderful beds and plenty of good pillows. In addition to the beds, there are two twin size "cots" with steel frames and excellent twin mattresses available, and we used them both. The floor to ceiling wall of windows facing the White River afforded a fantastic view, but the huge deck was spectacular. From there, high above the White River, we watched a pair of Great Blue Herons (with the binoculars thoughtfully provided by the hosts) on the water every day. So serene and restful. My Dad got to watch his beloved Fox News (on one of 5 flat screen TV's), my son-in-law rented a kayak just 10 minutes away, the kids played and played on the deck, we listened to Pandora on their fantastic sound system, grilled steaks on the deck, played games provided by the hosts, and had an all-around perfect weekend together. Love, loved this house, and the owners are so easy to work with and accommodating. One small caveat...and it really is small...the house is so secluded (a good thing) that the end of the gravel drive turns to a two-tire track lane with tall grass between the tracks. This was a little unnerving the first evening we drove in (my dad's car is a low slung Buick), but really no trouble at all. I couldn't recommend this house more heartily, and would love to go back!"
