  • Most comfortable rental ever!

"Spent the weekend at Rose Cottage with my sister and mother. We fell in love with everything about the cottage! It was warm and comfortable, decorated so nicely, and very clean! We loved sitting on the porch, and seeing the beautiful trees from every window. The weather turned out to be chilly and rainy, and we were actually happy because we didn't feel bad about spending so much time inside. We curled up by the fire and watched movies. A perfect place to stay. I am already recommending it to everyone!"

  • Nice place : )

"We had a great time in Hot Springs,Ar. The house was very comfortable and big enough for our large family. The kids loved the cottage. John thank you for allowing us to enjoy your lovely place. We loved going to the secret cave and the icea cream place that you told us about. Thanks again!!!"

  • Enjoyed Our Family Reunion Here!

"We just spent the last weekend here, and we really enjoyed ourselves. There are a couple of things that I think people should know about the location and the amenities before making a decision about whether or not to rent here. Pros: - Luther is extremely courteous, kind, and accommodating. When we arrived we were short on sheets and he had someone deliver them as soon as possible. I emailed him several times and he responded promptly with answers to questions and suggestions for a boat rental location. - The house was one of the few that could host a group of our size. Almost everyone in our group got their own room (as couples) AND their own BATHROOM!!! Awesome! - It's nicely situated 10 minutes from Hot Springs, which is a quaint little town with just enough to do on a long weekend. However, there's PLENTY to do if you don't want to leave the houses at all - there is a pool table (quite popular during our trip), some puzzles (though not all complete), a beautiful view (on FOUR different porches) and you're literally on the lake, so swimming is a must-do. - Two houses = quiet house and party house! Need I say anything more? Cons - The steps to the lake are borderline dangerous. They are in disrepair and need a serious upgrade. Family members spotted some poison ivy on the way down as well, which could ruin a trip! Be cautious using the stairs until they make the repairs (there are quite a few of them as well, but it's good exercise!) - The houses run quite cold, so bring a sweater! - There is no common bathroom in the main cabin, so you'll have to use the one in someone's bedroom. There is a half bath in the other house. - You can't bring pets, which is unfortunate for such dog-lovers as we have in our family. Understandable, but something to think about. Overall, we were happy with our trip and the time spent with family."

  • Norfork Fishing

"Having has a long career in the travel business I am very critical of brochures, descriptions and even photos. While driving around on a previous visit to ths area I had seen this property and thought "how nice"! When a friend from NC said fishing in this area was high on her bucket list I immediately knew where we should stay. Arkansas is the "Natural State" and rightfully so. This is a relatively remote area with great natural resources. The house is wonderful!!! Very open with kitchen, dining, living all framed by two large windows facing the White River. A large deck partially covered. The king bedroom with ensuite bath opens onto the deck. The second bedroom has a queen bed and also a bunk bed with a full bed on the bottom. Large closets. And the second bath just outside the door. Even a laundry room with washer and dryer...really great when you are fishing. You can find less expensive accommodations but not a better value. The property is three miles off the highway. From the turn off it's five miles to Norfork. We had one rain day and enjoyed the house and watching wildlife. Due to high water we did not get to experience fishing at the house...and we really preferred a guide! Try tworiversflyshop.com And the fishing was great. My friend caught a 20" brown! Nice. The property and grounds were very clean and well kept. It was a pleasure to deal with the owners from the beginning. We had lots of questions and answers were prompt, accurate and with concern for our enjoyment. "Dining" is limited and you might check to see which days restaurants below serve lunch and/or dinner. PJs Lodge - Restaurant Next door - rooms here are very, very small. Brooksfalls Restaurant Toward Calico Rock Heidi's Ugly Cakes At Two Rivers Fly Shop Great sandwiches Norfork Cafe Breakfast and open till about 1:30pm There is another restaurant in Calico Rock. Mt Home is the next "large" town if you must have fast food. Coming or going don't miss Blanchard Springs Caverns. They are beautiful and handicap friendly. Check for tour times. Good fishing to you!!!"
