  • Fall Break

"We had an absolutely awesome time in this cabin! Gorgeous views, great kitchen, loft and master bathroom. It was spacious enough for us not to be cramped, but also cozy enough for us to enjoy watching football in front of the fireplace with a nice fire going. We discovered it was right down the street from a very nice garden/park that we had been to 20+ years ago. The views were fantastic! Our kids have demanded that this be a new fall vacation tradition"

  • Wonderful and Relaxing Cabine

"We found this wonderful little cabin through a google search and were very pleased staying here. Cabin contained everything we needed plus internet and TV (including laundry facilities). The King bed was very comfortable and there was also a queen pullout that we didn't need. The grounds, 18 acres, gave lot of room for our large dog (120 lb) to run and chase the squirrels and a small coyote (I think). The only unfortunate part of our stay was a storm day of arrival and we weren't able to get out and take in the sites in the area as most of the places we wanted to go were either snow covered, ice bound or closed roads. And we were forced to remain on the property as we did not have a 4x4 vehicle. So we just stayed put and enjoyed the cabin, and relaxation that went with it. Everything, absolutely everything was cozy and comfortable.....NOW we want to go back either late summer, early fall so we can drive around and enjoy the sites but we would plan to stay a bit longer than the 3 days we originally booked. Owner is a wonderful person and we were fortunate to meet her and hope to see her again - thank you Carol for this opportunity."

  • Great house

"We had our annual Cousin Reunion here and this house was great. We had room for everyone (21) with added blow up mattress'. The kids had a great time with the game room. The lake location was quiet just as described but we don't recommend swimming. (Muddy). Kitchen is well equipped however be aware you must bring soap and cleaning supplies, paper towels and tissue. Overall house was very very nice."

  • Diamond in the Rough

"Our stay at the Duck's Nest was wonderful! Step inside to a cozy little retreat that is very clean, well maintained and has newer furniture. There is a wonderful full length screened back porch facing the river. We slept in a king sized bed on the porch during a thunderstorm….what an amazing experience! The area also boasts a picnic table for outdoor dining. Although we don't fish, it looks like a perfect spot (comes with it's own dock) to try your luck. I would highly recommend these accommodations and we will definitely be going back. The owner is a very nice woman who goes out of her way to make sure you have all the comforts necessary to enjoy a time away. She also furnishes homemade waffle batter and and absolutely out of this world homemade syrup for your first breakfast. Don't judge this little gem by it's cover or you will surly miss a very pleasurable experience."
