  • Perfect Lakehouse Getaway

"We stayed here for one week and no one wanted to leave! The house was great - plenty of room for our group of 5. From morning coffee on the balcony to grilling in the evenings the outdoor living space was awesome. For the time we spent inside we had everything we could need. Having two living areas is great when traveling with kids. They had their own TV for cartoons. But we didn't spend much time inside. Between the lake, the pool and the fire pit we had plenty to do outside! The house proximity to Hot Springs was great as well. Anything and everything was close but the house still has a secluded feel to it. Would definitely recommend this house. We will be looking to book it again for our next Hot Springs vacation."

  • Awesome get away!

"My wife and I rented the yellow condo for the weekend and we loved everything about our stay. The decor was very cozy, relaxing and inviting. Just walking in made us happy! The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, utensils and all the little things we needed to make meals. The bed was very comfortable and the living room was an awesome place to sit, relax and enjoy the great view of the lake. We really enjoyed the fact that this condo feels like it is off the beaten path, but is very closely located to places like Walmart, gas stations and restaurants. We truly enjoyed our experience and will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Hot Springs. We cant wait to come back!"

  • Family Reunion at The Lake House for Four Couples and Two Singles

"Truly a mansion...tons of amenities...well stocked! We enjoyed the weekend immensely, and The Lake House was definitely well appointed! The kitchen was fabulous, with tons of space and open adjoining living areas provided plenty of room for our family reunion that hosted on one afternoon, eighteen adults and five children! So many living areas for us all to be able to spread out and enjoy each other's company. Two separate football watch parties for the Oklahoma Sooner fans as well as the Arkansas Fans, between the main Family Room and the Theater Room! The four larger bedrooms had "on suite bathrooms" and the other two beds shared a bath...providing plenty of beds for the ten overnight family members. We could have packed in another half dozen between sofas in various rooms if we really wanted to! The basement area with one bedroom suite, the Gameroom, Theater Room and walk out patio to the pool and lakeside docks were the other favorite hang outs besides the kitchen/family room on the main level. The pool table was the every nite entertainment until we would give up the ghost! But, only one pool cue... The inside of the house was very clean, very well appointed with furniture and comfortable beds and most everthing worked well. The outside areas were basically well kept, but with typical lake home webs on the balcony and patio area...a little elbow grease cleared the areas we chose to use, but could have been addressed before our arrival fairly easily. The pool was very nice and used daily, however, the service never showed to clean leaves from the bottom and we couldn't find a pool leaf rake to clean it ourselves...nice salt water system, too! Overall, we were very pleased with The Lake House and would definitely stay here again! The owners were available for any questions and checked on us via text several times during our stay! And, such wonderful views of the lake and sunrise! We would have given it 5 stars, but just a few things for such a wonderful house that could have been in better repair to match the overall impressiveness of the "estate"...appliances in the game room that were missing, tiny TV's in the bedrooms and Gameroom, a few more seats in the Theater Room, a jetted tub that didn't work(maybe sis couldn't figure it out), a little more attention to cleaning up the balcony and patio areas...would have made it absolutely perfect! But, this really is nitpicking...we really did enjoy the house and our stay! Thanks Cris!"

Hot Springs Travel Tips

Hot Springs Vacation Rentals in the Ouachita Mountains

There are two places in Arkansas that are well known for their beauty and peaceful vacation spots. The first area is the Ozark Mountains while the second is in the Ouachita Mountains. Hot Springs vacation rentals are located in the latter which is in the west-central section of the state just a few miles from Little Rock. On your trip to this peaceful oasis, you will need to fly into Little Rock or use one of the highways that run through the state. Interstates 30 and 40 will bring you out of Little Rock towards Highway 10, but there are also a number of highways that run through the Ouachita Mountains and its national forest. The hot springs are closer to the Little Rock side than the Arkansas border.

Hot Springs Cabins Bring you to Nature

Renting Hot Springs cabins is a better way to go than trying to find a hotel or motel in the area. With the cabins you will find yourself on the edge of the national forest with plenty of Arkansas attractions to keep you busy. You can start out with outdoor recreation and watersports as there are two lakes within the region where you can go boating, fishing, waterskiing, and even swimming. Scuba diving is also a possibility in the lakes. After a bit of time in the national forest, you can move around to the small towns and cities for more excitement. Before talking about the cities and towns, one should mention that Arkansas has four distinct seasons. When in the mountains, you can expect warm summers and cold winters with snow. Winter skiing, hiking, and some whitewater rafting are part of the adventures you can enjoy throughout the year.

Hot Springs Homes Near Shopping and Art

As mentioned above, you have plenty of towns and cities to visit while near Hot Springs homes. The Hot Springs area is well known for their thermal baths, art galleries, and shopping. Whether you are looking for art shows or museums, Hot Springs is the place to be. Artists use the vibrant land to feed their artistic eye, allowing you to find many Victorian and 20th-century galleries depicting art of the surrounding area. Festivals, monthly gallery events, and special events are hosted throughout the year for those with artistic interests. Antiquing is also very popular in Hot Springs. It is impossible to walk along the streets of surrounding cities or the Hot Springs village without running into one antique shop.

The Thermal Baths of Hot Springs, Arkansas

Hot Springs, Arkansas has been aptly named due to the geological creations. This area has a rich history dating back to the Native American times. Many tribes would arrive at Hot Springs, keeping it as a place of peace and neutrality since they felt it was a very important place. As modern generations found their way to the springs, the area began to draw more and more people until the 1940s when modern medicine came into play. With modern medicine, perception changed regarding the springs but only a little. Many still thought the thermal waters would heal them, thus they still draw thousands of people today. The cool mineral water flows up from the ground, sparking the spas. For visitors to Arkansas, the main area to head to is Bathhouse Row in the Hot Springs National Park.
