  • Weekend Trip

"This place was great - plenty of space outside and inside. The owners were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed before we arrived. I would have no problem staying here the next time we head up to the area and would likely contact the owner to stay at another one of their properties."

  • Race and golf outing

"Condo was very clean and as described. Owner was prompt and helpful. View of lake was beautiful and peacefull. GPS had a little trouble locating but got us close enough so it was not a problem. Nicely isolated so it was very quite but short trip to city."

  • Quaint, Affordable, relaxing cabin retreat.

"My new wife and I chose to stay at Can-u-Canoe for our "mini" Honeymoon this past week. Upon arrival, the cabin was set up perfectly including the soft music playing on the tv and the air conditioning turned down to a pleasant temp. The cabin we chose is more of a one room suite, but is very well stocked and has plenty of room and amenities for a couple. The view from the deck over the White River/valley each morning was breathtaking especially when the fog settled in over night and slowly burned off over the valley in the morning. Made for some beautiful pictures! It is a short drive into Eureka springs for entertainment and very nice to return to the serenity of your private cabin by evening. I would highly recommend giving it a try!"

  • Lake Living

"I have been going to Hardy since childhood at a YWCA camp, so it has special meaning to me. This is the first time I have rented a place, as I have friends I usually stay with, and I invited my son and daughter-in-law for the weekend. I arrived the first night with a girlfriend, and we were so impressed with everything. We sat on the deck as the sun went down, watching an amazing sky filled with lightening in the distance (no thunder), which illuminated and reflected off the lake. It couldn't have been a better introduction to the house. The two back bedrooms facing the lake have terrific views, so in the early morning it was equally beautiful seeing mist rising from the water. The location is quiet, and the homes adjacent and across the lake are well-maintained. I have skied Lake Thunderbird, so I am familiar with the layout. This little cove is too shallow for motorboats, but it can handle pontoon, or paddle boats. I used my canoe to paddle over to see friends who live on the lake. The cove is also too shallow for swimming, but I would gather the Summer months would make that a good thing when there is so many boats coming and going. The home is decorated as if it were a private home, and not a typical rental unit. The kitchen was even stocked with a KitchenAid mixer, which really surprised me. The appliances were top-notch. The bedding was cute, the decor was well-done, the bathrooms clean and nicely appointed. The house is clean-as-a-whistle. I had some leftover cake from a party, and actually found a cake plate with a cake dome to cover it; and I also needed scissors for a gift, and found them in a drawer. I noticed bandaids in the medicine cabinet, including large size toiletries. A lot of thought went into stocking this house. My only suggestions would be a hand-rail inside the bathtub (it was hard to get up without one); a full-length mirror; and the driveway swept clear of the Hickory nuts at this time of year. I swept it as I was afraid someone might slip on one, plus, they are very messy as they are driven over. All-in-all, I couldn't have asked for a better place to be in the Hardy area. (Oh, and it was nice to have a dog-friendly home for well-behaved pets. Its obvious the owners love dogs from all their great pictures and decor.) I would most certainly rent this lovely home again should the occasion arise, and will recommend it to friends."
