"This was our second annual visit to the lakefront cabin, and it was just as wonderful as the first time around. I've gone the last two years with a couple of college friends (we met 20+ years ago), and this is the perfect place for us to spend a few uninterrupted days relaxing in nature and catching up, reminiscing about old times and making new memories.
The cabin is so cozy --- we love the fireplace! And we enjoy the fire pit in the backyard, the hammocks, and usually take a spin around the cove in the canoe and kayaks on site. Our trips have both been in the Fall, so we don't usually see much activity on the lake when we go. It's a peaceful, extended weekend that leaves us refreshed and eager to return.
My recommendation --- stop for groceries on your way in, and kick back for the duration of your stay.
Not only is the cabin wonderful, but I have only good things to say about the owners, their attentiveness and the ease of the reservation process. Top notch."

"There were 9 in our family and 2 friends that spent a week at this beautiful lake house. The kitchen is wonderful, and there was plenty of room for everyone. The best part of our stay was spending time on the lake; hanging out at the dock, kayaking, floating, fishing and swimming. There is lots to do in the surrounding area also. We zip lined, went on a haunted hotel tour, rented scooters, golfed, rode horses, and took hikes. This was one of our best vacations ever!"

"Every year our extended family of 20 plus meet over the Martin Luther King Holiday. We have stayed in several different places the past few years in Northern/Central Arkansas. The Summit House tops them all. There was plenty of room for the kids, young adults and older adults to gather without being on top of each other. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking for the large group. The state park and trails provided endless entertainment for the group for hikes and site seeing. The view from the house were amazing, overlooking the river and town. We saw deer, birds, a flock of pelicans in the river and even a road runner. We will definitely return to the Summit House in the near future. The owners were great to personally answer questions before we got there. Fantastic weekend-wish we could have stayed longer."
