  • Ladies Retreat

"Jenny was so wonderful to accommodate our needs for a church ladies retreat. The cabin is so spacious. The kitchen is equipped for your every need. The decor has a very welcoming, homey touch. We loved having our retreat at this location!"

  • Enjoyed Our Family Reunion Here!

"We just spent the last weekend here, and we really enjoyed ourselves. There are a couple of things that I think people should know about the location and the amenities before making a decision about whether or not to rent here. Pros: - Luther is extremely courteous, kind, and accommodating. When we arrived we were short on sheets and he had someone deliver them as soon as possible. I emailed him several times and he responded promptly with answers to questions and suggestions for a boat rental location. - The house was one of the few that could host a group of our size. Almost everyone in our group got their own room (as couples) AND their own BATHROOM!!! Awesome! - It's nicely situated 10 minutes from Hot Springs, which is a quaint little town with just enough to do on a long weekend. However, there's PLENTY to do if you don't want to leave the houses at all - there is a pool table (quite popular during our trip), some puzzles (though not all complete), a beautiful view (on FOUR different porches) and you're literally on the lake, so swimming is a must-do. - Two houses = quiet house and party house! Need I say anything more? Cons - The steps to the lake are borderline dangerous. They are in disrepair and need a serious upgrade. Family members spotted some poison ivy on the way down as well, which could ruin a trip! Be cautious using the stairs until they make the repairs (there are quite a few of them as well, but it's good exercise!) - The houses run quite cold, so bring a sweater! - There is no common bathroom in the main cabin, so you'll have to use the one in someone's bedroom. There is a half bath in the other house. - You can't bring pets, which is unfortunate for such dog-lovers as we have in our family. Understandable, but something to think about. Overall, we were happy with our trip and the time spent with family."

  • Excellent Choice for Eureka Springs

"We treated my son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren to a week in the northwest Ozarks of Arkansas. By chance, we chose Rock Haus for our accommodation. In hindsight, we all agreed that this decision was the best of our trip. After following the unpaved entrance road to the house, we were immediately captivated by its beautiful wooded setting. With a grill patio in the back and a deck wrapped around the front, the house was immediately inviting. Once inside, we discovered tastefully decorated rooms on two floors – three comfortable bedrooms upstairs and one down. The most enjoyable aspect was the careful attention to the detail of the décor. Wandering through the house was a true adventure; we discovered some new enjoyable aspect every day. The kitchen was well stocked, the bathrooms were spotlessly clean and the entire experience was comfortable and restful. Suzanne was the most accommodating, helpful and hospitable hostess we have encountered during our travels. We have lived in Europe for over 20 years and traveled throughout the continent with our four sons, renting vacation houses from Norway and Scotland in the north to Italy and Provence in the south. Seldom have we so enjoyed our vacation home as much as we did Rock Haus. We will long cherish memories of chasing fireflies in the yard with our grandchildren at dusk. Most highly recommended."

  • AMAZING!

"Our stay was absolutely fantastic! We stayed here after our wedding at Garvan Gardens- it was very convenient, but far enough away to feel like we'd gone somewhere (and weren't staying in the same hotel as our family!!). We woke up to the most beautiful sunrise the next mornings, enjoyed the views from the both balconies and all the windows, had a movie night, played pool, and took many amazing naps! We didn't believe that you could see for 40 miles before we arrived- whether that is true or not, the view is expansive and impressive!! We can't wait to return- we started discussing when we would return on our drive back to Texas and haven't stopped talking about it the last few days. This house was amazing for just the two of us but we are looking forward to making a trip with family and friends as well!"
