  • Home away from home

"I could live here. This home has everything you could possibly need. The grounds are spacious and nostalgic. My girls loved the tree swing: they pushed each other forever. The porch is very relaxing. The outdoor speakers were a pleasant surprise! Be sure and read the history of the home in the literature on the coffee table. It's really interesting. And go ahead and try the outdoor shower. There's nothing like taking a shower while bathed in the warm sunlight, but take a fly swatter with you, the muddobbers like the water, too."

  • Great Location!!!

"We were in Fayetteville for a wedding and stayed two nights. The location was perfect as the wedding & the reception were on Dickson St., both within easy walking distance. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. The location is close to campus and within walking distance to all the great restaurants and shops of Dickson Street and downtown Fayetteville. I highly recommend this cottage and we will definitely stay here again!"

  • Great location! Great home!

"My family and I really enjoyed the flexibility that this home provided. The multi-leveled home with bedrooms and living spaces on both levels allowed for even the late evening activities to not interfere with those that went to bed early. The view of the lake could have been better as this home is on an inlet. But, you are indeed right on the water and the backyard is big and we had a great time hanging out. The kitchen was big enough to cook for 10 people. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit. The only con I would have is that it was quite a cold weekend and we could not get the gas fireplace to light. There was also no where to light a fire in the backyard. We did end up purchasing an inexpensive fire pit from the local Walmart and that was successful. But, the fireplace and fire pit amenities could improve the overall stay. But, the central heating (one unit per level) worked really well!"

  • Relaxation at its finest

"The Dragonfly is a wonderfully private, but not secluded, place. I have been there five times, and each time the cottage was exceptionally clean. The most relaxing and peaceful place for me was the deck . . . dinners out there . . . glasses of wine out there . . . cups of coffee out there. Rick is attentive if the need arises but will leave you to enjoy your vacation otherwise. I recommend this property if you are looking for serenity, relaxation, and beauty. I'm already looking forward to my next getaway there!"
