  • THE GREATEST WEEK OF OUR LIVES

""The Greatest Week of Our Lives"- enough said. For those of you who require more than this one sentence (no matter how impactful) I will add this: the adults who stayed at Moose Lodge have also visited, in some degree of comfort, the following locations: the Greek Islands, all of Scandinavia, Hawaii, Singapore, China, Taiwan, Tokyo, virtually all the countries of Western Europe, Prague, Gdansk, Krakow and several countries in Eastern Europe, the shores of Newfoundland, British Columbia, Mexico, Brazil and.......well, you get the picture. I forgot to mention any locale in the Caribbean or Mediterranean or place elsewhere lapped by equatorial waters. Each of us has also driven, quite leisurely, across the expanse of the United States and saw a lot of beauty while doing so. Personally, I love everything about the Atlantic Ocean- the villages that dot its coastline, the people, the food, the history- you name it. None of those travel experiences came close to what we experienced while at Moose Lodge. Each of us was stunned by how powerfully it transformed our feelings about the pieces of the world we'd already seen- and there are several strong cynics among us. It was the greatest week of our lives. Give yourself a tremendous favor: stay there. And invite me when you do?"

  • Lovely location, restful He

"This home is in a lovely location just a mile from Pfeiffer beach. It is comfortably furnished and artfully decorated in a Japanese style. It has some nice touches such as plush robes and soft sheets on comfy beds. However, for the price it has some drawbacks. Number one is the fact that the only entrance to the house is through the master bathroom which also has no shower, just a tub. The layout is very open which made it hard for one of my teenage sons who was sleeping on the living room couch as the second bedroom only has a double bed. Though the kitchen is mostly well equipped it had some odd lacks such as only four plates. Lastly, the owner wasn't as helpful to out-of-towners as she might have been. She initially mixed up our reservation dates, was slow to respond to email and neglected to mention that the closest supermarket is 30 miles away in Carmel. All in all, we enjoyed our time but for the money would consider other options."

"Second year we have stayed. Very quite and deep up in the trees. All you need is there. Great place to relax, rest, read, cook. Close to Carmel and groceries etc. when your there you don't want to leave. It's a very crowded state, too crowded. But you see no one at this spot. We will return."
