  • Wonderful Winter Getaway!

"We had the opportunity to sneak away from the midwest winter for 6 weeks in Jan and Feb. We were very fortunate to find this condo as it was perfect for our needs. It was equipped with anything we wanted or needed for our stay. Perfect location, steps away from the beach, heated swimming pool and a workout room, (which was updated while we were there). The small balcony provided a quiet spot to enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine and listen to the crashing surf. We were just a short drive from the Monterey Bay area sights, wineries and Redwood forests. The area has some great restaurants and shopping just a short drive away and a fun Farmers market within walking distance on Sundays. The owner met us upon arrival, walked us through the condo and it's features and surprised us with some "welcome goodies". The condo has been well maintained and updated. The owners had prepared the condo with toiletries , paper goods and cleaning supplies so we didn't have to rush out immediately to find a grocery. The condo complex itself was quiet and also very well maintained. From watching the sunsets from the beach, discovering local wineries, enjoying the boardwalk, visiting the markets, playing golf, touring the Monterey Bay area, to walking up to the taqueria on the corner,we could not have asked for a better visit and like the other reviewers, really hated to say goodbye."

  • Wine country family getogether

"We had a FABULOUS stay at the pepper tree farm! There were 8 in our party and the home had plenty of room for all of us. It was so nice and welcoming to see fresh flowers and plants in the home when we arrived. Further more - Elizabeth left a personal note with a couple of bottles of wines and refreshments - what a nice, personal touch. We walked daily into town for coffee and delicious pastries that Solvang is known for. The guys golfed in the mornings then met up with us for wine tasting! The home is conveniently located close to Solvang town and a few miles from Buelton, Los Olivos and Santa Ynez. Couldn't have asked for a better "home away for home" experience! Thank you Elizabeth for making our family weekend such a memorable one. We'll definitely be back!"

  • Comfortable Cottage in Carmel Valley

"Charming, comfortable cottage in heart of Carmel Valley. Walking distance to Carmel Valley Village and Garland Ranch Regional Park (hidden access point to trails is just down the street from the cottage); 20 mins. to Carmel. Nice fenced yard for a smaller dog, but low fence might not be entirely suitable for a larger dog. Cottage has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Nicely equipped kitchen, nicer leather couches, and good bed. Central heat but no A/C; although that's usually not a problem in Carmel Valley most days with afternoon breeze. Shady location of cottage (in the bottom a small canyon), concrete floors, and post-adobe construction also likely keep the cottage cooler on the occasional hot afternoon. Cottage is small (best for a couple) and a couple of the spaces are a little tight (kitchen and bathroom), but that's to be expected. Very shady location might be a little too dark or shady for some, especially on a colder day, but it didn't bother us. Some of the neighbor's homes are close to cottage, but not to the point that it's intrusive (at least we didn't think so) and small seasonal creek behind cottage provides a sense of quiet and seclusion despite somewhat close proximity of neighbors. Overall, cottage is great if you're looking for a more rustic location and furnishings (in keeping with the general vibe of Carmel Valley), a little room for a smaller dog, and a nice, quite, comfortable place for your stay. Also, owner was great to deal with. We're rented dozens of homes from private owners and rental services, and she was probably the most responsive person we've ever encountered when renting a vacation home. We definitely plan to be back for our next stay in the area."

  • Carmel is our new Hawaii

"It was a pleasure to find a home to rent for our whole family. It filled our needs for everyone including the grown children and grandkids. We loved how spacious the house is and the wonderful pool area. Diane welcomed us and showed us around the house. We enjoyed the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Dennis the Menace Park, Point Lobos, Carmel and the Carmel Valley. All the sites were an easy drive from the house. We loved the warm weather verse the cool weather along the coast. Thanks for a wonderful experience."
