  • Family Reunion and Wedding Celebration

"My husband and I eloped for our wedding ceremony, but needed a space for our family to gather and celebrate at a later date. This property was perfect! We rented the entire property (Hacienda, Country House, and Barn) for a long weekend. This larger house served as the hub for us. The commercial kitchen was perfect for a large group breakfast the day of the party. The large dining area and deck was perfect for all to enjoy group meals. The property is close to wineries, Hearst Castle, downtown Paso Robles and Templeton so guests were able to take day trips and enjoy the area. The 46 acre grounds were enjoyed by all - it was awesome to look out off the deck and see our guests roaming the property and enjoying the great outdoors. Everyone loved the property and wanted to stay longer! Karen, the property manager, and all other employees were so friendly and helpful. We genuinely loved every minute of our stay! We will definitely be back!"

  • Weekend Fun

"We had a wonderful stay in Cambria. The home is well equipped and maintained. The ocean views were wonderful. Listening to the waves was such a treat for us Midwest people! There was so much to do and see, and Greg restaurants. One weekend was not long enough!"

  • Warm, welcoming, and one of a kind

"My wife and I spent a wonderful week here based on a great review by our friend, and we couldn't have been happier with our decision! The house immediately felt like home, and we look forward to visiting again. The first thing that you see when you arrive -- after a steep climb past the historic and quirky Nit Wit Ridge –– is a simple garage with a flat roof and slanted door, framed by palm trees, with nothing behind it but sky. As you descend the many stairs (worth every step!) down the hillside, sections of the staggered house are revealed, as are glimpses of the coast. The wide open lot to the right, which is bordered by a wooded ravine, was an unexpected bonus: no neighbors in sight, a fawn visited almost every night, and turkeys arrived each morning to devour the birdseed (provided!) that we put out. The multi-level house, with its many interesting angles and spaces and skylights framed by thick wood beams and rafters, is full of character and endlessly inviting. Cozy fireplace/TV room with built-in seating on the lowest level; dining area and well-appointed modern kitchen and super sunny sun room with million dollar views on the main level; a relaxing loft-like den full of books and warm light a few steps up; a cute bedroom and convenient bathroom with shower comes next; and on the top floor, a spacious master bedroom with wide, tall banquette windows, and a deluxe en suite bath with glass shower and deep whirlpool tub. There are sweeping views of Cambria's Main Street far below, and the hills and ocean beyond, from both rooms. (Make sure to catch the sunset from the romantic, semi-secret little balcony!) Leave the windows open, and the distant sound of crashing waves will lull you to sleep. Finally, there's a large, tree-shaded deck just off the dining area that features a huge hot tub with powerful jets, a table and chairs, a charcoal grill, and a pair of lounges. The neighboring houses are pretty close on this side, but we rarely felt too crowded or uncomfortable. If you have time after checking out Cambria's antique shops, boutiques, and restaurants — and maybe Moonstone Beach and Hearst Castle -- we highly recommend making the short drive down the coast to Morro Bay, with a stop in Cayucos along the way. Epic scenery, an endless beach, and a boardwalk and marina full of places to eat, drink, and shop. (To access the big beach north of Morro Rock, turn right onto the unmarked dirt road that’s just past the main entrance to the park.)"

  • wish we had more time

"We were in town for a wedding and choose this location because it was close to downtown and the wedding and one of us was not able to walk very far. It was perfect - I just wish we had had more time. The place was spotless, and full of all manner of artwork and collectibles. The furniture was extremely comfortable (beds, sofas, chairs). And the garden and the multiple outdoor decks were just amazing (lounge chairs, lighting, ocean view, sun). Plus, it was an easy walk in the morning to get coffee and poke around the stores downtown."
