"My husband and I were looking for somewhere special to celebrate our 25th anniversary. And, we found it! We knew we wanted to visit Carmel, but were unsure about where to stay. We booked a room at an inn, but the room seemed very small. When we ventured across the Aloha Cottage, we thought it was too good to be true. We thought there had to be a catch. How could a cottage be the same cost as one room at an inn? After speaking with the owner, we realized it truly was as good as it sounded. We were not disappointed when we arrived either!
The owner has thought of everything. The kitchen was very well equipped. We enjoyed fresh fruit, coffee and teas, wine and bottled water. There were shampoo, conditioner and shower gel dispensers in the shower. The mattress on the bed at the Aloha Cottage was heavenly! The grounds were well kept. We followed many of the recommendations made by the owner and were very pleased. We had wonderful meals at Café Rustica and Flying Fish Grill. We really enjoyed spending an evening at the communal fire pit at The Bench. It is on the 18th hole of Pebble Beach. Spending the evening sipping wine, while watching the golfers and the grazing deer, was very relaxing. As was the evening spent at Starlight 65 Rooftop Lounge.
We did rent a car and chose to drive to downtown Carmel. Although, it certainly was within walking distance of the cottage. Parking was not a problem. We explored Point Lobos State Natural Reserve, Big Sur, Pfeiffer Beach, enjoyed the complimentary Monterey Bay Aquarium passes, went for an unforgettable walk along Scenic Dr. in Carmel and of course, visited a few wineries. All in all, a vacation we will never forget! We would love to return to the Aloha Cottage or perhaps bring some friends and rent the main residence."
