"This was the perfect location and size for us. Very private and quiet. You can walk to the beach easily or into town. Thank you to the homeowners for their recommendations. We are looking forward to booking this property again."

  • Wonderful Craftsman style

"A wonderful and comfortable place on beautiful Carmel point. A real plus is that it is one house off Scenic so the house is quiet and hasn't got the traffic going by that the houses right on Scenic have to put up with."

  • Great location, views, property

"Let's start by saying you could have dinner for 8 in at least four different places at this property, and have a fantastic backdrop for each one. We had ten people over the weekend for a wedding (elsewhere) in Carmel, and were comfortably accommodated. The layout is useful for many couples to have privacy yet still enjoy staying together, as there is only one bedroom with multiple beds - though some bedrooms have small daybeds or couches for flexible sleeping arrangements as well. Great location: nestled in between Carmel and Big Sur, without being too close or far from either, it's easy to take a two hour round trip bike ride to the Bixby Bridge, or drive 10 minutes into Carmel for brunch. I've been to Big Sur many times and found this is an excellent place to stay as it's not so far into the area that you're stranded for civilization. The communication with the property owner is prompt and efficient. The welcoming bottle of wine was a nice touch. I'm looking forward to exploring the property and surrounding area again."

  • Warm and Inviting

"We arrived in the dark, but the house was warm and the lights were on with a delicious bottle of Pinot Noir to greet us. The house had so many beautiful touches such as the gorgeous tulips and lilies that were so perfect, we initially thought they were fake. The next morning to our surprise, the lilies and tulips began to open up and of course they were real! The sparkling windows gave us beautiful views of the gardens and the ocean. "Our home", which we called it during our stay because it was so comfortable, was a great location for our sightseeing from the Big Sur to Hearst Castle, to Carmel and Monterrey. The linens were so soft and silky that even though we stayed up late catching up on our lives and laughing, and out the door fairly early in the morning (this was an annual girls getaway), our sleep was very restful. The amazing and ever changing cove nearby was remarkable . We also met some very friendly neighbors on the walk to and from the cove Thank you Mary Ellen. You really made us feel at home."
